153-hour MP3 player coming to U.S. stores

The mobiBLU DAH-1900, which we reported on last month, is about to jump into the U.S. market under the B153 brand name. This player claims to have the world's longest battery life, with a rating of up to 153 hours of playback. This is a best-case scenario claim, however, as the value only applies to users playing 128kbps MP3s with the volume setting at 20 and the display in sleep mode. DRM-encrypted Windows Media Audio files will cut the B153's claimed battery life all the way down to 100 hours, too. The B153 measures a teeny 2.56" x 1.75" x 0.84", and features an OLED display, FM tuner, voice recorder, and lyric streaming functionality. mobiBLU's product page lists 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB variants, but no official pricing is known. Current British stores list the 1GB and 2GB players for £109 ($192) and £139 ($245) respectively, though, which is exactly in line with UK pricing for equivalent 1GB and 2GB iPod Nanos. Thanks to Engadget for the tip.
