I suppose it was only a matter of time before Intel's Core Duo processor made its way to the Mini ITX form factor. Akiba PC Hotline has the scoop (in Japanese, bring a translator on Commell's LV-677, a Mini ITX board equipped with a Core Duo-compatible 479-pin socket, two DDR2 DIMM slots, and most importantly, a PCI Express x16 slot. The board is also equipped with integrated graphics courtesy of Intel's 945GM north bridge, Gigabit Ethernet, Firewire, and 5.1-channel High Definition Audio. Of course, the LV-677's unique attributes don't come cheap; retailers in Japan are selling the board for close to $450—nearly three times the suggested retail price of Asus' Micro ATX N4L-DM VH Core Duo board.
