nForce 680i SLI coming in November, board pictured
Nvidia has provided us with a sneak peak at a motherboard based on its upcoming nForce 680i SLI chipset. The nForce 680i SLI is aimed at Intel systems, and motherboards based on the chipset are scheduled to hit stores next month.
From what we can see, the reference board has three PCI Express x16 slots (perhaps for use with a physics card of some sort,) dual Ethernet controllers, at least four Serial ATA ports, FireWire, and passive heat pipe-based chipset cooling. Nvidia says this particular motherboard design will be brought to market by eVGA and "several" other Nvidia partners.
