Internet Explorer 7 on the way
Microsoft is planning a new version of Internet Explorer for Windows XP SP2.
The new version of IE, which will be released for preliminary testing this summer, will have new protections against viruses, spyware and "phishing" scams, which fool users into entering sensitive information on Web pages that appear to be legitimate.Internet Explorer's share of the browser market has dropped by 5% over the last six months, with many users flocking to Firefox. Still, there's no indication whether Internet Explorer 7 will offer features like tabbed browsing in addition to its new security measures.
