Micro ATX Sonoma motherboard arrives in Japan
AOpen's Alviso-powered i915GMm-HFS motherboard has arrived at Akiba. At the equivalent of $315US, the cutting-edge Micro ATX Pentium M platform doesn't come cheap. Still, the board is loaded with features, including support for a 533MHz front-side bus, PCI Express x16 and x1 slots, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, 7.1-channel High Definition Audio, Firewire, and integrated video with DVI, VGA, and component output. SpeedStep support will apparently be added in a BIOS update later this month.
