Rumors are swirling that ATI has become a takeover target, with Broadcom, AMD, Intel, and Texas Instruments possibly being interested in snapping up the graphics chip firm. The takeover rumors are apparently nothing new, however, some are speculating that ATI’s less-than-inspiring fourth quarter guidance makes it a prime takeover target for suitors betting on a big rebound. That rebound would presumably include CrossFire, which ATI announced over a month ago, and next-gen graphics products that the firm hopes to bring to market this quarter.
