Now that one looks very interesting, shame about the processing and graphics power, but it's on the right track.

Re: Which tablet would you buy?

Go to your local store which sells these tablets, or buy from a large online shop where you can easily return them, and try them out (with whatever apps you want), then make your buying decision based on that, problem solved! Counter intuitively, it turns out in the UK you actually get better buyin...

Re: 310.90 Drivers for GTX 680 in Windows 8, Broken?

I had this same problem the first time I installed the OS on my work PC, using a GT420. I would suggest when you first install Windows 8 you: 1) Right click on "My Computer" and select the "Hardware tab". Select "Device Installing Settings" and choose "Never instal...

Ah, you're absolutely right. I don't know why I thought it was 16:9 - it looks like most Android Tablets are indeed 16:10. I've guess I've been spoiled by the iPad.

Re: Which tablet would you buy?

You'll flip pages more frequently than you would on a 10" tablet, but the reading experience is fine. Hmm now that's kind of what I was hoping to avoid. I intend to read programming books and they usually have snippets or blocks of code that ideally need to fit within the width of a page, othe...

Which tablet would you buy?

I've been looking into getting a tablet for reading ebooks and watching TV/movies. Given that screen is of importance to me, for the sake of being able to see more text, I've been looking into 10" tablets or tablets of a similar screen size. I'd still consider a 7" tablet like the Nexus 7,...

Re: Looking for a Windows App Developer

Ah okay, well in that case I can direct you to the company that I work for - if you would like? We develop mobile applications, tools and websites for both private businesses and the public sector (UK government). From what you've described above it sounds more than feasible that we could take on th...

Re: Looking for a Windows App Developer

I've got experience in programming in WindowsRT / Windows 8 / Windows Phone 8 tools and have dabbled a little in UI programming to create samples. I've also got experience in programming Android, C and C++ applications. What is it that you want to know about programming on Windows 8?

Re: Who has played with Windows 8 Hyper-V

I've used it for developing Windows Phone 8 applications and tools. It allows for the phone emulator/simulator to run on Windows 8. Other than that, I can't say I've done much with it or had much use for it. On a side note, it caused a few problems with my network drivers as it runs a virtual networ...

Re: Format only Windows ME and reinstall it.

I found the best solution was to burn an Ubuntu DVD/CD and boot from it, then procced to delete every windows folder and file, as the hidden secure folders that can't be deleted from Windows itself will show up in Linux and can be appropriately dealt with. This way you don't have to worry about over...

HP LP2475 monitor: to buy or not to buy?

I read the blog post about the HP monitor and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on it. The monitor sounds great, but is it really worth that kind of money? (£356 inc VAT and delivary) I'm a bit of concious of spending lots of money when it comes to computer monitors as I'm not the ki...
