Re: New washing machine

Having used both front loader and top loader, i wouldn't recommend top loader to anyone. They don't do good job in washing and also increase tangling decreases clothes life. Its been 2 years i am stuck with top loader, once my budget approves i will be back to front loader.

Re: Anyone repair anything today?

The technology I really like recently are the one's that have multiple fan speeds or variable. "Multi-stage" I think it might be called. That lets you run the fan at more than just full-speed. I did some research and found that invertor AC have variable compressor speed, so when they are ...

Not repair but finally gave up on my old air conditioner today. Its compressor head (in outdoor unit) just blew up. How are inverter AC ? I hear they are better at efficiency but what about maintenance ?

Re: How bad is Windows 10 Really?

I hate the way Windows 10 resumes update during my online game play session. I hardly get 2 hours in a week to play games and somehow it decides to update itself during that time only upping the ping to more than 200ms. Sad part is there is no way to stop it from updating itself when it decide...

Re: Anyone repair anything today?

The holes I drilled were all rather small, around 5mm. I drilled one at the top to let air in and two at the bottom for water to come out. I needed two because the tail light lens was chambered and so the first one only let out half the water. I didn't notice any dust buildup, but I live in a prett...

Re: Anyone repair anything today?

Sunday was spent cleaning the Tail light of my VW POLO. Rain water had somehow entered taillight casing through the leaked rubber housing, shorting all the bulbs. That happened on my Chrysler mini-van a few years ago. Corroded the bulb contacts in the housing... I had to use Kerosene to clean the c...

Has anyone worked out why the TR results were so far from other sites?

TR: 95% percentile frame times
Everyone else: Average frame rates with no regard for frame times

Actually, Anandtech does have 99th Percentile frame times in their review.

As much as I'd like to recommend Ryzen to you, I would expect that you're more gaming focused than people are giving you credit for, because the 1070 is not a light gaming card. I don't think Ryzen will be the right choice at the level you're talking about. The R5 1600 makes a lot of sense against ...

Can you get the CPU RMA ? You are not new to system building hence i don't think you have missed anything, it seems its just the CPU that might be bad.

You can play DOTA 2 on your Haswell IGP @ 1080p Low-Medium settings. Anyway the problem seems to have been taken cared, i had to underclock the card to 925 MHZ GPU @...
