Re: linux installation problems... (n00b)

Did a BIOS flash and I changed something and SuSE is working fine. I should've been more clearer and said I only used UE off the Live CD and it was disconnecting the same as SuSE. SuSE working great except its not liking my network card.. only wireless... I think I like Ubuntu better anyway. Thanks ...

Re: Holy crap I'm buying a car TOO!

Never downshift an auto. You're just asking for trouble on especially newer cars/trucks. Do explain your logic for this one... Well you should really boost line pressure (Modified PCM etc...) Its just hard on the Tranny. Anyone who owns a newer Grand Prix(except my buddy who know has major tranny p...

Like most things, Beer. Coors light fan? Bleah. :x <---you get lemon sucking Asian man. I just wanted a username that sounded vaguely German. I do believe I'm retarded. lol No not really. It sounded cool at the time(2002). My car was called the Silver Bullet for a while but that was more an inside ...

Re: I really love my Sonata III

Got a Sonata 2 as well and I'm loving it. Keeps the temps of the E6320 @ 2GHZ at about 32-34 with stock cooler while using for basic applications with the 120mm on low I beleive. I did the same thing JDL did with his fan switch and I can't say I've changed it. EDIT: Yup, on low. Gonna try Medium out...

Re: Holy crap I'm buying a car TOO!

I'm only 16 and I'm on my Learners permit, but i prefer a manual over auto, its so much more fun to drive and it gives you more control over the car i reckon. If you can tell me how to drive with a beer in between your legs, a cup of hot coffee in the holder, and a cigarette in your right hand with...

Re: Holy crap I'm buying a car TOO!

To be completely fair, you can engine brake with an automatic, too - that's why the selector doesn't just have PRND, but most have ways to select every gear (for 4-spd automatics, I've seen PRND21, with a button to turn off overdrive (making drive third instead of fourth,) PRN(OD)D21, and PRND321 (...

Re: Holy crap I'm buying a car TOO!

So, I have never owned a car before. I can purchase a car from Winnipeg, MB. I have up to $5k. I don't care about looks... I just want to get from point A to point B with moderate gas usage and without it breaking down all the time or constant repairs. Help! :o We Winnipeg'ers buy cars from the sta...

Re: First time builder, "NTLDR is missing"

I had this problem a couple times when I built my computer last year. I fixed it the first time by resetting my BIOS. The final time, and its been good since, I had to do this: Goto the Recovery Console with your Windows XP disk Once at the Command Prompt, type in: copy d:\i386\ntldr c:\ AND copy d:...

I'd got my hands on a Leadtek K7NCR18D a while back and started looking for a CPU. I was only able to find a 2500+ Sempron so I bought it kinda thinking that it would work. Its got the Nvidia Nforce2 MCP-T? chipset on it and according to their website, Sempron processors would be compatible (yay). T...
