Can't seem to find glasses anywhere now. I was really hoping to get a piair to watch this historic event. I did see one in elementary school many years ago, but that was like in the 80s If you feel like gambling, you can pick up a welding mask for about $30. Not officially rated for direct sun view...

92% totality predicted in Denver metro. Some friends are traveling out to Wyoming to see totality, but the knowledge that the Interstate routes to WY and NE will be handling enough volume to justify emergency response coordination procedures.....no thanks.

Re: What the heck is happening to my internet speeds?

So connecting your laptop to a proper router for WiFi it works just fine? It doesn't surprise me that connecting to a phone as a hotspot would result in sub-par speeds. I'd expect a dedicated mobile hotspot device to be better than a phone, but still nowhere near what an actual router would accompl...

Re: Interrupted wi-fi connection, new router

Thank you so much for your reply. But I am looking for a good article so that this could be helpful for me and guide me well step by step. The procedure varies depending on the brand and model of the router, and you may need screen-shot images of the router's interface. For a step-by-step guide for...

I just checked it again and it loaded up like it should this time. I'm not sure what the problem could have been on my end. It started to worry me though. Take a look at your update history (System Settings => Check for Updates => "Update History" link) and see if a bunch of recent stuff ...

Just because it doesn't phone home or install a back door today is no guarantee it won't after the next update. How to recover router password? Is this any way? Please let me know. If you need a default password, and it's not printed on the back of the router, try searching Google using the router brand as a keyword. For example, if you have a Linksys router, try "Linksys router default password" a...

Another 18 months under the bridge, and another cleaning and re-lube of the piston in the ever-faithful Harbor Freight 3-gallon "hotdog" compressor that I use for pumping tires. For how cheaply the piston is built, it's kind of astounding that this thing works as well as it does.

This is essentially a 500+ death incident, with the only difference being a few extra seconds and the very last maneuver. As for AMDs choice in this matter, I'm not surprised. This community isn't interested in HEDT products. I think there are less than ten regulars in this forum that have X99 or X79. Re: Electrical problem

The bunks fuse box also seems unnaturally hot, but not from any one particular fuse. Hmm. Could be a bad connection to a large load. Could also just be a consequence of motor loads (such as the AC compressor) being forced to start and top frequently as they cut in and out due to a problem elsewhere.

Based solely on passenger vehicle experience, i would also vote for a bad ground or battery connection, a bad battery, and a failing alternator, in that order. Any of those can cause all manner of intermittent gremlins.

Living in a townhome leaves us with a choice between pots and the 7 square feet of fertile soil hemmed in the back patio, so we don't have much: some sort of heirloom tomato purchased mainly as a novelty, a prolific spearmint plant, and a few useful herbs: basil, thai basil, green onions, and someti...

Those tool cell packs seem to be hardy and well-controlled by charge/discharge circuity, personally I don't worry about those too much. But if you're planning to have RC LiPo packs or discrete Li-Ion cells charging in close proximity then you might give a thought or two to the possibility of a chain...
