Re: Atrix HD Screen Replacement

I had a shattered screen on my last phone. HTC One X. I was too chicken to go thru the expense of buying a screen and then tearing the phone up. I've replaced a few laptop screens but the phones scare me a bit. There's probably a Youtube instructional vid but I never bothered to look.Another factor ...

Re: HTC One

Thanks for correcting me on the DancinJack. I thought of asking to to handle a live model but there were a few people waiting in line already. S4 looks to be a nice device. Betting the sold a few. Next wait is to see what Apple unveils.

Re: HTC One

Handled the "dummy" version of the S4 at a shop today. I envied the thin bezel and more screen real estate. Mostly the lack of capacitive buttons below the screen is what appeals to me. It would be a hard decision between the two phones had both ben available. I've had bad luck with Samsun...

Re: HTC One

I have both the One and One X here comparing... I can't discern a difference in weight by feel. The One is slightly taller and slightly narrower than the One X. They feel very similar in the hand. The One's edges are a bit sharper and has a more solid feel obviously. Like derFunkenstein mentioned......

Re: HTC One

Let us know what you think about the S4 when you get it. I like thin bezel on the S4 and wish they had managed to do the same with the One. MicroSD and removable battery are a couple of other things the S4 has the the One does not I plugged in with 17% left with 13 hours and 50 mins off charge last ...

Thanks for the feedback. I set the screen brightness to manual today at just a bit below what it was picking for my office on it's own. After 12 hours and 40 mins I'm sitting at 32% battery life left. Not scientific methods at all given all the variables. I'll add that I have found the TV Remote fun...

HTC One

Well, this area of the forum seems to be suffering from lack of traffic, so i thought i might add a thought or three. I had the HTC One X on AT&T's network via their prepaid $50 a month plan. It suffered a catastrophic natural disaster after slipping off the couch unseen. It somehow manage to fi...

Re: Windows 8- Sell me on it

I'm not going to try and sell anyone on the OS but I'll relate my (little) experience. I got it for $15 USD on the upgrade offer with my Envy 15t. I've always looked forward to the next big version of Windows in the past - this time was very different. After reading articles and watching videos I wa...

Re: 2009 Taurus Doors Unlock Themselves

I agree with MadMan. The doors probably lock on their own when you hit 5mph or so and the sensor for it could be faulty. I've heard of several people have small animals chew wires in the engine bay or underneath and end up with weird issues - adding to the fun possibilities.

I'll echo was Steel says for the most part. I use CAD daily. Currently using 2012 with SurvCADD 2012. I only use 2D (mapping and GIS) for the most part with an occasional 3D grid file. I would go with the Xeon and ECC Ram for mission critical use / serious scientific stuff but for run of the mill ar...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note preorder Feb 5th on At&T

I considered it but waiting on some in-depth reviews. I live in an HSPA+ only area and have read the LTE modem is always on. If that's true I have some doubts about battery life. I'm rocking a prepaid talk n text only phone at the moment because I got tired of the horrid battery life of the EVO I ha...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note preorder Feb 5th on At&T

I wish they hadn't replaced the Exynos with the Qualcomm in a way but it's pretty much a draw for me. I don't have LTE in my area and won't ever notice the difference in performance for what I would do. It boils down to battery life. I'm curious to see if the At&T version fares better than the I...

I would echo what everyone else has said but add that I would research a bit on the OCZ SSD. Unless that the latest firmware has improved stability I wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole. Intel, Crucial or Samsung on the SSD would be my choices.

Most Australian cars are RWD, the Fairmont is bigger than an Escort and that's probably AUD and not USD. Either way I wouldn't compare it to an Escort. I did have a 95 Escort GT that was fun to drive though. 1.8L twin cam 127hp. They sold a version in Australia that was AWD and turbo charged.

I've owned that SB Live, Audigy, Audigy 2 ZS, X-Fi and X-Fi Titanium. I never had any issues with any of them other than the X-Fi would quit outputting sound when switching modes. Restarting the app "cured" it temporarily. The X-Fi Titanium was find under Win7 64. I'm one of the lucky ones...
