Re: Amusing bug in RHEL 7.4 - [UPDATED]

a terabyte of debug email every 2 days?? wow. that's impressive. You haven't seen the logs from some of the systems I work with. Working in a small shop here (less than 100 employees) and our ENTIRE storage infrastructure is less than 10TB... backups and all.. Production data is probably ~1T...

seeing in the other thread you returned your monitor as you didnt like it. hopefully you will find something that suits your need. i mainly use Lenovo's E24-10 monitors but they are used in an office environment so i cant comment on their glow/bleed. at home i have a curved ips ultrawide that does s...

Re: My monitor issue acceptable?

do you intend to look at a black background in a pitch black room all the time? i seriously do not understand what the fuss is all about IPS glow and/or backlight bleed. Sure some monitors are stupid bad but why people always go looking for this is beyond me. http://puu.sh/lDz83/b31a64b5e3.png (link...

Re: TR Frankenbot 2018; wow, is it that time already?

i'm back at ~280k-290k PPD according to the estimator..not sure why i was at 171k for a while... usually F@H gets a pause when i game (2-3hrs during the evening).. and unless i forget to turn it back on, folds all the time. This database has your 970 @ 345k PPD and a 2080 at 1.6M PPD. yeah i looked at that as well. driver perhaps? i'm not sure of the actual brand of my gtx970. its an actual "no label" nvidia card temporarily borrowed from one of our industrial vision desktops from Matrox/ViDi as my gtx570 di...

It'll help a lot! Depending on the WUs you get, that should net a good 300K+ PPD.

sitting at 292k PPD right now.. CPU/GPU combined.
i'll add a RTX2080 when it gets here..hopefully before the end of the month..

glad you are ok. i would also check water heater, furnace/heating board/AC (depending on where you from), smoke detectors (if they are wired), sprinker system. Also powertools in the garage/shed that may have remained hooked up. basically check your breakerbox, and identify everything and everywhere...

we also service our house with Ubiquiti UAP-AC.
i installed 3 lite models (~CAD120$ ea). 1 on the basement's ceiling, 1 on the ground level's ceiling and 1 outside about 50' away from the house in our BBQ island. (bbq island is one single block of concrete and it radiates pretty good nonetheless)

we have a symmetric 1gbps FTTH (fiber to the home) with IPTV and coming from cable, the difference in latency is i believe what makes a difference. went from 30ms to major content providers to less than 5ms in most cases. steam is one of the few service that i can pull 600-700mbps from.

Re: fixed poor amazon video quality on xfinity

they might simply redirect you to a local comcast netflix cache instead, and because its busy AF, you get lower quality?
it would be interesting to compare the stream sources (IP) between using comcast's dns and google's dns.
