Re: What are you driving RIGHT NOW?

If I were a lottery winner, I'd go with something like this: http://topwalls.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Bugatti-Veyron-Super-Sport-car-600x375.jpg But in real life my ride is something a little more normal. I agree completely. A Bugatti Veyron would be super fun. But for now I'll have to settle...

Re: Stripping SBS 2011 down towards 2008 R2

Well, if you already have a Server 2008 R2 license for the box, then I would definately agree that rebuilding it would be the best plan. That way you can get the junk services all out of the way, like the redirection and public folders. A rebuild shouldn't take very long at all for an organization t...

Re: Stripping SBS 2011 down towards 2008 R2

In my experience, SBS systems are really just a domain controller with Exchange built in. That was really the appeal to it, as it was quite a bit less expensive than a Server 2008 R2 and Exchange license. Since you've disabled the Exchange component with little issues, what are the other roles the s...

Oh, and Jarvik should've so totally been free. The game was designed from the ground up with him used as an alternative perspective from a different timeline. One where things turned out very differently. He is most definitely a plot asset. This argument only holds water if you didn't get the Colle...

Re: DRM rears it's ugly head in Avatar Blu-Ray

Maybe I missed something. Do all Blu-Ray players come with ethernet jacks?
If not, then why are they not building in Specification Updates on every disk, so the act of inserting it would update your firmware?
Problem solved. Agree on a spec. (no pun intended).

I agree with the Radeon; But that's just me. PhysX isn't worth it, even with the crack to allow nVidia PPU with an ATI card.

Firmware updates that only say they "improve file compatibility" sounds like "DRM updates" to me.
Built in Fail if that's considered acceptable for a media set top device.

I have around 6x 1GB sticks of DDR2 that have suffered this way (old DDR2-400 stuff).
I got Mushkin at the time due to a suggestion from a friend and they still get my business.
