Re: Gaming keyboard and mouse

My bad. ..still not as bad as coupe de gra(s). (The cut of FAT.) :P No worries mate. Like I said, I wasn't criticizing you, but rather the fact that most people think "grazi" is how you say it. I don't even know where that came from. Probably us terrible English speakers if I had t...

Very nice little app.. Graci! :D (..yeah, a history to look back through to see where you screwed up is really handy - especially if you are moving at a rapid pace without really looking at num.pad when using it.) So off topic, but this annoys me (not you CScottG, but rather the wide misconce...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

I had a higher-end microwave meal for lunch yesterday (if there is such a thing), and it came with a Sriracha sauce packet. I like spicy foods, but never tried much of that particular brand (I don't partake in table condiments at restaurants). While the taste was alright, it made my whole place sme...

Re: Forums on Mobile Small Issue

Heyyyyo! Nice work. God knows why you would use the light them anyway, but nice work! I'm generally a fan of dark themes, but hadn't noticed this setting before :) . TR's light scheme is pleasant enough that it didn't make me go hunting for a dark theme, until now. Ahhh. It burns my eyeballs. I've ...

Re: Forums on Mobile Small Issue

Figured it out - the board style "Canvas" has this problem. Changing it to "Black" solves it because it gives you a UI like what DancinJack has shown in his screenshot. Heyyyyo! Nice work. God knows why you would use the light them anyway, but nice work! edit: I wanted to check ...

Re: Forums on Mobile Small Issue

I have the same issue as the OP, and it takes a bit of aiming with the finger to hit the hamburger menu on the right. It occurs in Chrome on my Samsung Galaxy S8+ running at both 2220x1080 and 1440x2960 in both portrait and landscape orientations. @DancinJack - that looks like the desktop site to m...

Re: Windows 10 Start Menu and Taskbar Issue

Yeah, client machines as in three desktops. It is odd because I turn all that nonsense off during the setup process. Basically, all I'm doing is installing drivers, doing all the Win 10 updates, tossing chrome on, and slapping Sophos Home anti virus on. Then just through general use like 30 minutes...

Mine has never looked like that. I'm on a 2560x1440 Pixel XL though (and was on a 1440p phone previously as well). I have and always use Chrome stable on my phone. https://i.imgur.com/zQZZ4dU.png?2 edit: I realize now that you were in landscape. https://i.imgur.com/JRwO2aP.png?1 edit: Dude, where is...

Re: Windows 10 Start Menu and Taskbar Issue

I've been doing some digging around now that I have it happening on 3 computers which had clean installs of 1709. it appears when the start menu goes south the event log shows the windows shell experience is terminating due to a timeout. I tried a few things including a power shell command to re-in...

I'm still friends with my main "group" of friends from high school. A few of us went to college together too, so that helped. I have been to zero reunion type functions. Though it sounds like I enjoyed high school more than most of you in this thread.

Re: Nvidia Titan V

Stupid naïve question of the day: could NVIDIA add (AI) functionality into GameWorks which made use of the Tensor Cores on the back end? Not that I'm expecting it, but the block diagrams put the tensor cores within each of the 4 sub-cores in a Volta SM. Either the SM itself will be different on non...

Wrestling: basically LARPing. You mean the WWE. I was an amateur wrestler for 15 years, and I can assure you, it's not that similar to LARPing. Oh btw, I'm a tech nerd too. GASP! Etymotic. It's really the ear tips that are going to give you the isolation and less so the actual earphone. Etymotic makes some really great, neutral IEMs that you might like, and they have great isolation with the included tips. https://www.etymotic.com/consumer/earphones.html Most of their models...

Yeah, I don't think you'll want to do that on an i3 4170. Have you considered getting an updated GPU that supports HEVC decode/encode and using DirectPlay? (assuming your devices support H.265 playback, of course) (Like a GT 1030?)

Anyone looking for a standard office-use monitor should have a look at this 24 hour sale on the Acer K272HUL for $220. with promo code EMCXBCRB2. It' doesn't have any fancy VRR tech, but it's a solid monitor at a great (possibly lowest ever?) price. Ends at midnight 12/1. I'm currently sitting in f...

Yep, appreciate the link. Monoprice charges for shipping here so I usually don't use them unless it's an item I can really wait on and I'm buying bulk at a larger discount than Newegg or Amazon can get me since they ship free with my membership. Re: 144hz, Display Port Cable Requirements

Good to know, so it's not hype. I haven't seen or used a lot of DP displays in business machines until the end of this year. I'm thinking 2018 is going to usher in the era of DP even in more mainstream/work systems. You'd think so, but HDMI is on almost, if not, every single TV out there. Projector...

3. X forwarding must absolutely work for various tasks - I have the feeling Windows doesn't handle that very gracefully, but that's just a gut feeling without any basis in fact. Man, you don't even need to splurge to get something MILES better than instant coffee. Literally, buy a 1lb. bag of beans at the store for 8 bucks or 10 bucks or whatever it is where you live, grind them at the store (unless you have a grinder at home which is great and use it), and use a drip machi...
