ESXi madness ..not sure why you wouldn't use Qemu/KVM and a Linux distro of choice. If you want a sort of "pre-built" solution like ESXi, then UnRAID (Arch-based) is usually the go-to. If you don't mind a GUI, then pretty much any distro. with Virt-manager: https://virt-manager.org...

The models I run for distributed computing are almost always long-term climate models with ~1 week 24/7 completion times, and these almost always complete without error on my current rig. -is this available for dCUDA? Re: Gaming Projector Setup

Probably look for short throw (with limited space). (..this is distance from the screen, so if you only have about 3 feet to set the projector down to get about 100 inch diagonal image - then you want short-throw, otherwise the typical projector with a GOOD ceiling mount will work. Re: What shows are you recently watching?

Girlfriend and I sat down to play some catch up on American Horror story last weekend. About 4 episodes into Cult we had to turn it off. The writing to me was just terrible. Coven was pretty good. The latest (Apocalypse) has been little more than dark & lurid..with a stamp of the proto-typical ...

I just finished with the re-boot of the Fox series: Lethal Weapon. -it's definitely better. (I watched 2 episodes of the first season and dropped it fast.) Not only is Sean Scott vastly better as a "Rig's-type" character, but the writing seems a fair bit better as well. It's still "C&...

Re: Wait or go for it? Plus tips...

I'm expecting the 2070 to push frame-rates about as well as (or slightly better than) the 1080, and the 1070ti is almost as good as it.. so the net (after rebate) sub $400 price of the 1070ti isn't a terrible deal except for the "extras" that are offered by the next-gen cards. I also like ...

Re: Wait or go for it? Plus tips...

..the price of the video card is too much. About $50 more will net you a 1070Ti (..very similar to the 1080).

Case seems about $50 more than it should be as well. I personally like the look of the InWin 301 for $70.

This are thin wall prints. Each wall is a single layer above the first 10 or so, which are double layer.
