In a related note, don't forget about the Saturn 1b on i65 at the Alabama welcome rest area.

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

In my monthly accident research I'm finding countless videos on live leak of products being tainted and put back on the shelf since the ice cream thing. It's pretty much everything though, not just iced cream.

How long do you think it would take someone to notice if I mixed flavored drinks in a carbon filtered water bottle? These are the questions I ponder while working.

That's pretty common with oversized loads. My trailer and heavy securement are too heavy to haul regular flatbed freight. My deadhead this time is 1400 miles minimum, but could be 1800 depending on what happens next week.

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

Someone i know pointed out that i really like going to the middle of nowhere, and i realized that's quite true. Anyway here's some middle of nowhere. This is oregon nevada border highway 140 east west, but don't take this 6k elevation 200 mile road with no exits or facilities and cliff drop shoulder...

Re: To Lease or too buy an EV

You know the big advantage to buying crap Craigslist cars for 3k, sometimes you get 100k miles with no problems. If a major problem does show up, just trash it and buy a whole new one. I'm carless now but I spent maybe 4k total on cars including maintenance for 10 years before that.

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

Well after a learning process with high frequency rf communication through 50k pounds of steel and using the video signal who's first reflection off the road around me is the best signal I can get, I've made my rear oversized load camera highly reliable and it's been an extremely valuable tool. It d...

Re: Dashcam for my Car - Buying Advice Needed

Only that the vava is one I passed up due to claims of unreliability and unpredictable behavior. The one single thing you need a dash cam to do, is record. One of the reasons I switched away from my old one is it was too much trouble for me to verify my sd card was working because I would lose my sd...

Re: Firefox NetFlix Every 1hr36-38m...crash

First thing I would do is try chrome. Sometimes it's not worth the trouble to deal with a problem the way you want, just take the fastest reasonable solution and get on with your day. The Netflix app is also a reasonable option.

Re: Wilderness (UL?) Backpacking

I've backpacked into the Smokies a few miles and camped. Just take the preparation seriously and do it thoroughly. If you get lost in the middle of nowhere with no food or water it's on you. Make sure you have good maps and that you know how to use them properly. Try not to go into places liable to ...

Re: To Lease or too buy an EV

I think you missed his point. Yes the net density by province is lower, but most of the population they do have is concentrated in a strip fairly close to the southern border. You can serve a pretty large percentage of the population by putting a charging network there. For what it's worth I've see...

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

Legal liability, probably nothing, but a total professional failure. Anyhow, probably not the worst thing to have maintained your lane and rate, so that others more nimble can better predict your position. Sorry for the late response but i've been mulling over a way to explain why it was a failure....

Re: To Lease or too buy an EV

I agree with K-L-Waster that the "EV" aspect of the car doesn't really factor into to buy vs lease. I don't like leases at all for personal vehicles. I also think anything more than a 3 year note is very financially risky. How about finding a few year old Leaf? I have a good friend who bo...

The reason I asked, if the area they're using it in is predictable you might get away with a wide cone directional inside the house or on the awning as previously mentioned. Something like this. https://www.frontiercomputercorp.com/product/poynting-a-wlan-0061-v1/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwrdjnBRDXARIsAEcE5Ymiu...

Re: Dashcam for my Car - Buying Advice Needed

Well I think that the wide area being captured mixed with the tiny lens and sensor limit the max useable resolution anyway. It's pretty much either you get the plate, or you don't but you still get the accident. It seems like it's pretty much always the latter. That's why I changed my priorities to ...

Also, and huge props for this, the recording light is an extremely dim blue led. It's barely visible during daytime, and totally reasonable during night time. It's a small detail, but it's about time someone stops putting supernova class bright LED's on night time devices. The streetguardian camera...
