It's starting to get darker, can we keep it like this all the time. Much more comfortable sun level.

You know you're getting old when the highlight of your week is that you finally switched to 90 days prescriptions and get to save a few pharmacy stops.

Re: Eclipse on August 21

I'm hoping to avoid most of the trouble, but really i'm in north carolina, and am going to be driving parallel to the events path for most of my drive. I'm guessing that means i'll catch a bunch of traffic eventually. Sunday i did a small drive north, already being slightly north of the events total...

Peeve of the day, people who go into self checkout with an over flowing cart of items. It's simply not designed for that.

Re: Eclipse on August 21

I've seen a lot of signs asking people to not stop on the interstate and otherwise dangerous practices during the event. My better judgement tells me I'm going to have to find somewhere safe to stop or else I risk being a victim of said bad practices.

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

I got a few trainees like that, especially the ones right out of the military. They were especially upset about the fact that sometimes you had to make decisions in similar situations that needed different solutions because of very tiny differences. They really needed everything to be exactly like t...

The only name i know of any of that is, "Dune". I barely know that much really. I vaguely remember a scene from dune, something about sand, i think it saw it on tv randomly.

Saw this in instructions today, "Do not connect any devices intentionally or accidentally to the auxiliary buzzer connector"

If I ever make a device, no matter how simple, I'm going to be sure to include, "do not break by accident".

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

You guys ever open a can of food with what should be a good date but it's rotten anyway. Today I opened some soup, thought it tasted like spoiled milk, had to do some stuff real fast, and when I got back in the horribly rotten smell finally hit me. Needless to say that soup fed the grass.

 the more time I spend alone and quiet in the truck the weirder my speech gets. It's scared to poop, kinda a shorthand of being so scared you poop. I have no idea where I learned it or if I mangled it myself.

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

From what I've been told the season for these is just starting so I'll be moving a lot of them. I've already developed a whole new level of being dumbfounded by people that just kind of hang out by the truck. When you can't even fit in between lanes when centered it really sucks having two people ma...

I'm not sure why anything related to home security usually has a subscription model, especially these days. There's no reason you can't set up your own phone accessible monitoring without having to pay a monthly fee for no reason.

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

I imagine that can be really problematic on railroad crossings that have a hump. Presumably they route you around those. Nope, but it's designed to be dragged across the ground. The secret to getting over them is not stopping, I can also raise the air bags a bit if I did snag. I had to drag frequen...

I kind of wanted a cold beer tonight but it's not an appropriate time for a buzz. I settled for a super mega sized root beer float. Boy am i going to regret that later. I already feel like a balloon.

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

I'm in the target the process not the people boat. People can be expected to act normally, like trying to protect your job. Develop a process that accounts for that, especially these days with the power of tech. Exactly why is the voice recorder overwritten every two hours. Does it use a floppy disk...

If anyone wants an acro drone set let me know. Since I'm planning to pick up a paramotor soon I made some tough calls about space in the truck. One of those calls is that I'm ditching my 4s based quad gear. I would explain the full specs but I think that wouldn't be very useful. So instead, ill summ...

Re: Electrical problem

Also, do you have some sort of load shedding? As if the truck is progressively dropping functions that it doesn't have power for (starting with the least important ones)? Yes the truck is capable of shutting down power to the bunk. The bunks fuse box also seems unnaturally hot, but not from any one...

Electrical problem

I'm trying to determine what could be causing this. A few days ago my rear ac blower stopped working. It was a slow death where it got progressively weaker over the course of a few hours. Although I found that failure method odd I wrote it off as whatever. Yesterday and today the truck has been show...

Well the worse case is you can't eat any form of sugar except maybe 15 or 20 grams a day. That's about where I was and it sucked. I had to fill my calories with shots of various oils. I don't check my sugar anymore though, don't need to. Maybe once a month I'll check in after something that should c...
