Re: Do Palm Pilots work with with MAC Book Pro?

I thought about that. AT&T is terrible here in Denver compared to Verizon, and the cost is prohibitive. I've been with Verizon for about 15 years. Seems to be the best carrier this area.

Re: Do Palm Pilots work with with MAC Book Pro?

OK, what is the best handheld to use with an IMAC or MBPro?? Thanks for any suggestions. Can an IPod be used as a hand held with a PIM with a MAC?

Do Palm Pilots work with with MAC Book Pro?

I have a Sony Clie' that was my wife's. I need the data off of it, and don't seem to be able to get it. Of course it was added on a PC. Tried to use the PC to get a text file to move it to the Mac.

Couple more MAC Q's please

Bought a used MAC Book to learn the oS and other stuf. Fairly entry level mach. Played with it, kinda learned and liked it. Have a friend MAC. He helped me a lot. Sold it. I lost the $52 for the rAM. Now getting ready to pull the trigger on either (Yes) IMac, or MB Pro. (The only thing I don't like ...

Re: New Macbooks and Macbook Pros

I notice that they have 'previous config' and current config on the refurb site. I sold my white MB refurb. (Long story) But I will be getting an IMac and a MBP soon. There is a reasonable amount of savings gong refurb. I learned something with the last one. I upped the RAM myself, gave the older RA...

So, is there an advantage to buying new at the Apple Store (local) vs a refurb?

Anyone here use IWork8?

I've been kinda playing with it, and it seems OK. I also have Office for MAC on the machine, but it is slow to load (makes sense). I don't think I need the complexity of Office. Still trying to make a lean mean machine out of this Mac.

Re: Boot Camp or Parallels?

Took my Linksys over and replaced the Netgear. It works perfect. Now I have a MB that really didn't have any problems.

Now to read "The Missing Manual".

Re: Boot Camp or Parallels?

A problem arises. It sees a network and thinks it is secure. It isn't. It sees my network which is secure as secure (my Linksys) and works fine. The one that is not secured is at a business. It is a Netgear router. I have gone into the Netgear to check it's settings. All OK. Some other patrons can g...

Boot Camp or Parallels?

I've read that Boot Camp actually outperforms Para. The only other issue is that Boot Camp is already there (On the Lepard disk.) Anyone have any thoughts on this? I really don't want Win on this machine, but it looks like it will have to be there. Thanks for any insights.
