Re: Need help picking a DLP TV

Cool. I have looked around and it seems that the Samsung is a pretty good TV. My father came across this Mitsubishi Diamond TV. It was rated 7 or 8 on Cnet. Anyone have experience with this one?

Need help picking a DLP TV

Hey guys, my father has decided to get a DLP TV but he is unsure on which one to go with and he asked me for help, but I don't know much about DLP TVs. I found this TV on Newegg and it seems to be a good deal but I have no idea if it is or not. He wants a TV around 57 inches, that does 120Hz, and ha...

Looks like it will be, but you might have to update your bios. You can find a detailed cpu compatibility chart for the mobo here. Hope this helps.

I say more cooling wouldn't hurt, but I don't think using the smaller block is going to cause any damage. You should be good with either.

If your PSU is modular then I would only use the cables you need and leave the others out.

It depends on how long your PSU cables are and pretty much how creative you can be.

Try the install with less than 4 gigs of ram. Then make sure you download the hotfix from windows so you can use your 4 gigs.

Re: First time builder, "NTLDR is missing"

Do you have more than 1 disc drive? If so, switch which drive you put the disc into or just set all of you drives to boot from to your disc drives and try it that way. It should show you the "press any key . . .".

You should be able to hook your hdd up to your friends pc to clear it.

Re: First time builder, "NTLDR is missing"

Go into your bios and set your dvd/cd drive as the first boot drive. Save the settings and exit the bios. Make sure your XP disc is in the dvd drive and a message should prompt you to "hit any key to boot from disc". Then hit any key and you should be able to try to reinstall XP again. If ...

Things are good, I PMed you.

Temps actually seem to be not too bad on the 9800GX2 if you beleive the link below. Seems credible, I would love to see a full review here though.

Re: SLI question

Not sure how a 9800GX2 would compare to 2 8800GTSs in SLI, but I would assume it would be pretty close. And, you would save about 60 bones by going with 2 8800GTSs (not counting MIRs), but 1 9800GX2 would free up extra space if in your case. If you have plenty of cash then grab a 9800GX2, if not gra...

Re: SLI question

I believe you can mix and match brands. As far as the different speeds go, I believe if you add a second card that is a bit slower than the existing card, the faster card's speed will lower to match the new card. What are you going to be using your pc for and what resolution are you going to be usin...

Re: vista questions...

I'm not sure about the licensing, but I am pretty sure you can't upgrade from a 32bit OS to a 64bit OS. I think you have to do a clean install. Not a 100% on that, but I think that is the case.

There really isn't a reason to not go 64bit. Grab the 4gb of ram!

Looking for a good sound card but I have a budget

Hey guys, I am wanting to get my brother a sound card for his birthday but I can only spend around $40.00 and I'm just not sure if I can get him a good card for that price. Do any of you all have any suggestions? I would really appreciate it. Oh, and he has Vista Ultimate 64 bit and a PCI and PCI ex...

Re: Add 2 GPUs into cooling loop or . . .

Hey guys! So, I decided to spend a bit extra money to do my cooling system up right and I got the Swiftech MCR320 and added it into the loop with 2 MCW60 water blocks for my 8800GTS (G92). Here are some pics so you can see what I have done. First, before: http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t245/zbtb...

Add 2 GPUs into cooling loop or . . .

add a new loop all together? This is what I have right now: Swiftech MCP655 pump, Danger Den TDX, Thermochill PA 120.2, and a dual 5.25 reservoir. I am only cooling my q6600 @ 3.6GHz right now. Load temps on it are about 51c with ambient temps at 24c to 25c. If I were to add a new loop I was thinkin...

It would be a combination of issues I believe. I think the biggest influence on your ping in games would be your connection or speed of your internet (dsl vs cable vs etc.) and how far away the server is that you are playing on. I might be wrong.

I have ran XP 64 and I run Vista Ultimate 64 now and I have not had any problems that I would attribute to my OS being 64 bit. Use the your bios for OCing your cpu and Rivatuner has worked well for me for OCing my video cards.

If the Asus's website says it will work it probably will. It will just need a bios update more than likely.

Re: Is water cooling worth it anymore?

I personally don't think there is much need for a peltier now a days, but water cooling, sure. If you are patient, careful, and have some extra cash it makes for great cooling plus a bit of a shock and aw factor when other people see it. I have a water cooling setup to cool my q6600 OC and I'm glad ...

I basically want to bypass the fans manual controller (because of extra clutter in the case) and just plug it into the card. I'll give them a call to see if they know of any solutions.
