Re: NVIDIA PhysX in New and Upcoming Games...

This is an interesting topic :D

The OP mentioned that by using his old 8800, he managed to offload the physics from the 280.
Ι also have an old retired 8800GTS, however my main card nowdays is an ati 4870.

Question is: would the 8800 work alongside the 4870, taking care of physics?

Re: X38 temps

Yeah, the χ38 runs pretty hot, mine is sitting at 50C right now. Lowest I've seen is about 43C, during the winter though. But the heatsink (on a maximus formula) doesn't feel very hot. On my other system however (P5N-E SLI, nvidia 650i) the northbridge cooler is a fire hazard, extremely warm to the ...

Re: Ubuntu won't boot

Check out your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file (try pressing ctrl+alt+f1 to bring up a console, login there, type 'sudo nano /etc/X11/xor.conf' without the quotes) In the "device" section of that file, you might want to try "vesa" and see what happens. Also, make sure that the "scre...

Re: Best movie quotes ever...

- Isn't Evelyn a girl's name?
- No, it's mine.

Peter Sellers (Evelyn Tremble) to Ursula Andress (Vesper Lynd) in Casino Royale (the old version), and in the background "the look of love" is playing.
Instant classic.

Re: E4500 Heat/Voltage Level Question

There is no way you could have damaged your cpu. Safe voltages for Intel E4500 go all the way up to 1.5V. Safe operating temperatures go up to 74C. http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLA95 As you can see in the above link, running your CPU at 1.365 is perfectly normal. Your temps do...

I have three 320s.
The first one is the system disk, the other 2 --> RAID1.
The system disk makes a clicking noise once every five days or so.
Been running like that since November.

Naturally females deserve to be confined within the walls of their homes where they are less likely to cause harm to innocent and unsuspecting souls.

Yeah, and maybe cook something nice while they're at it, so they can please their man after a hard days work.

Daveburt, what makes you say that Liddell will kill Jackson? Did you see their last fight? I've never seen chuck playing so defensive, he was actually running away from rampage half the time. Plus, he has no wrestling game whatsoever. When they hit the ground (and you can bet that rampage will go fo...
