Re: AMD Navi / RDNA Topic

Do we suspect a Navi based card which will replace the Radeon VII as the crown jewel of the line up or will the Radeon VII with its shrink down to 7nm be their top card until the series after the 5700XT? Thoughts?

Re: Windows 10 - Ethernet Cable Disappeared.

Almost sounds like something related to MAC address filtering in the router, but I can't see two different NICs being erroneously filtered while random wireless connections are made without issue. Have you tried connecting straight to the modem just for S&G's? Yea I have, HTCP yes, PC no. Same ...

Re: Windows 10 - Ethernet Cable Disappeared.

Windows 10 uses hardware activation. You no longer need a product key. If you haven't changed out major hardware you should be fine. If you have changed hardware and get an activation error, you should be able to contact Microsoft and reactivate without much, if any, hassle. As far as your actual p...

Re: Windows 10 - Ethernet Cable Disappeared.

Have you actually tried using another cable and/or another port on the switch? I know it sounds silly, but I have a hard time believing a brand new card would somehow inherit something funky especially on a refreshed install (which is a clean install + your files). Yes I have. I have used two diffe...

Windows 10 - Ethernet Cable Disappeared.

Hello TR, When I originally went from Windows 8.1 to 10 I had massive problems with my Ethernet connection working post migration. I came to fix this issue by doing a refresh of the system where it wipes all of my programs but keeps my files. Recently, my Ethernet cable stopped working again. I orig...

Re: Hooking up 2 HDMI displays via 1 Mini DP

The monitors don't have DVI input? With the dock, you can go 1 HDMI and 1 DVI I believe, completely bypassing the DP ports. Although with the Intel IGP there may be limits to which combination you can use. Apparently they have 2 HDMI inputs and one VGA on the monitor. But they do ship with a DVI to...

Re: Hooking up 2 HDMI displays via 1 Mini DP

I believe lenovo makes docking stations for the thinkpads which include multiple video outputs. Why not get one of those? Second that. You can try DisplayPort daisy-chaining but if what this other gerbil's experience is to go by on his T440s (his adventure starts here ), the dock may be more straig...

Hooking up 2 HDMI displays via 1 Mini DP

Hello TR, The company I work for just ordered me a Lenovo Thinkpad T450S as a replacement for my current desktop machine. Right now I have 2 x 1080p monitors (specifically these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236309&cm_re=asus_monitor_27%22-_-24-236-309-_-Product) and a...

Re: Low Profile MSI 750 Ti

I like the dual-fan design of the cooler on the MSI better, but since it's not available there's a Gigabyte one, too. Dual slot, though, so your low profile case has to be sure to have 2 slots. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125680 The 750Ti has always been interesting to ...

All of them gained valuable experience in certain do's and don'ts. Who will easily shake off the "don'ts" they have committed is yet to be seen.

Gotcha. :/ I guess I am not going to be able to find anything that works fluently across all systems without the needs for an installed program? Seems to be that way.

I've never played with VMWare ESXi, so I'm asking this question. Is it possible to have two graphics cards, and run two OSs on my PC simultaneously, and have them output on different graphics cards simultaneously? Like having two PCs in one? And if I have IOMMU virtualization, I can basically play ...

Re: Looking for Mice Suggestions

I've got a Razer Mamba I've been happy with. The base station/charger has a blue light on it, there's a light on the mouse wheel, and several little power indicators on the left side, near the extra two buttons. I just took a peak at the configurator app that came with the driver, and you can chang...

Re: Looking for Mice Suggestions

StuG, I just plugged in my Naos to a very old Athlon 64 computer. Its lights remained as I had set them, so those go to the EEPROM as well. On that note, I tried setting them to white and got almost-white. As the LEDs in mice are never perfectly positioned, the main Mionix logo is very slightly tin...
