it's going to be a budget computer i have a few things in mind - i will start with a mobo and go from there - 8gb ram, 1tb hd, budget video card and enclosed in a 50-50 dollar case with 400psu.

ASUS PCE‑AC68 looks pretty good but too expensive for the computer i am thinking of putting together. that's why i asked for a cheaper usb alternative.

any good budget PCI ones??

i can also consider pci wifi - i have to build a simple, basic pc for my daughter and i need a decent wifi signal to be able to stream videos HD videos and do video chats with grandparents. no gaming.

the same thing keeps happening after i rebuilt the system. system is stable until gameplay starts computer simply restarts right after i change settings in BF1 to ultra preset, dirt 4 - i am able to play for a little and it restarts at random times. any 3d benchmarks the same as D4.

also, psu odoes not have 8 pin connectors only has 6pin+2 . could this affect the performance and cause random shut downs??

just tried playing dirt4 and it died again after about 2 mins of gameplay.

boot issue is fixed - for some reason in boot option priorities option 1 was reserved for dvd, option 2 for only 1 HD and that was changed (not sure how) to another disc. this is fixed. now i am still not sure what is causing this cpu fan false start. it really turns on for a quick sec when i turn m...

also mobo displayes AA Qcode error "SYSTEM HAS TRANSITIONED INTO ACPI MODE. INTERRUPT CONTROLLER IS IN APIC MODE.

hi i have a x99-a mobo with dynatro R17 cpu fan. everything is set to default. as of yesterday mobo is not recognizing the fan. i tried it in ext fan slot and the fan works. any idea what might have happened here? last thing i need is to buy a new mobo. thanks EDIT - it spins for a second once power...

GPU's at stock clocks and voltages? If not, have you tried at stock? When you install a new NVIDIA driver, do you do a full uninstall and reboot cycle? well after installing every single release going backwards the first i was able to install is 353.62 from august. please post here is there is a fix or solution to have the newest ones running on win764bit (detailed specs in the sig)

hi - i have just updated to newest geforce drivers and get wdm crash error with verstions 361.43 through 355.82. is there a fix for that? or am i supposed to go back drivers is used before - trying to remember which ones i had up until now.

I guess you don't read the TR front page much? And no, it's not the ONLY place you will get Nvidia drivers. It's only the GameReady drivers that will require it. can someone confirm if this is true?? the guy running tweakguides.com posted an update on oct 16th stating that as of december nvidia will only be allowing driver downloads through their geforce experience software??

am i doing something wrong here? i have it hanging over the speaker and connected to my mic in on my sound card but the mic doesn't pick up any signal!! i mean i have to have my amp turned up to extreme volumes (i play at home) just to see minimal signal being picked up.
