Need help on choosing a Cable Modem...

I'm thinking of buying a new cable modem so I won't have to pay the $5 lease every month. Well at Best Buy they have the Toshiba PCX2200 and the Motorola SB5100. They are both $79.99 and I don't know which one to choose. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thx... :D - Mr. D Lin...

Well I've already edited my startup with the "msconfig" system configuration utility and disabled all the useless things. Well looks like I'm going to reinstall windows since I don't know what to do now. Even if I did add ram to this system it would be useless. It would just be zapped up by somethin...

Well, I'm stilled stumped after checking my computer with Ad-aware, Spy-bot: Search and Destroy, and a virus scanner and came up with nothing. Still same old problem. I've updated my Internet Explorer through windows update, but I didn't update to version 6, just 5.5 because I've heard people talkin...

Methinks you have some sort of virus/trojan/whatever at play. There's no way in hell that you're going to "normally" get such a large swap file just for browsing the web. Get a recent virus scanner and run it, also check for stuff at start-up that may be causing trouble. YEAh! Thats what i'm saying...

Oh! Sorry I didn't mention that i'm running WinME. I have 128MB of ram and I have already disabled all programs except the ones needed for windows to run. The warning only seems to pop up when I go to sites that seem to use a lot of memory. I'm guessing that my swap file just isn't unloading stuff t...

Low Disk Space Warning Keeps Popping Up

Well I set a 350MB partition as my swap file and I've never had any problems with it until these last few days. Everytime I use Internet Explorer my swap file memory just runs out and I get the "Low disk space" warning. I used a program called "cacheman" to monitor my "swap file" usage. Well when I ...

Can you guys tell me if I got ripped off with my new Samsung SW-248B CD-RW drive? I've heard all of you saying Lite-On is the drive to have but I just went out and bought this Samsung for around $70...just for the 8MB cache. I've never had a coaster yet =) thank you.

AGP to PCI Converter?

Has anyone ever heard of a AGP to PCI Converter/Adaptor? My friend told me he heard of one before. Since i can't find a decent PCI card now I'm looking for this converter so i can get a AGP radeon 8500. I know this will degrade its performance but i don't really care so if anyone can reply to this i...
