Does that even run? Seems like a fire hazard.

Still running my trusty old Abit IP35-Pro from techreports recommendation back in 2007. I blame my non-modular PSU for me not cleaning it.

I love my Ikea Galant: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S79903869/ It's simple, elegant, and customizable. The table top can extend in either direction with the same pieces. The leg height can be adjusted. Plenty of surface area and I have an Ikea attachment on the bottom that cleanly hold...

Re: New budget gaming build for $472

I got the i3 and ASUS P8H67-M combo, the 6850 and a memory combo, the $7 keyboard, 430W earthwatts and a $40 small case (size beats quality here). Total came out to $471.93 before rebates! Thats pretty clutch, thanks guys

New budget gaming build for $472

I've got exactly $472 to work with. I'm building a new pc for somebody and it needs everything except: monitor/hard drive/mouse/speakers/windows So I need: Mobo cpu gpu psu case ram (8gb for $40 hopefully) keyboard The econobox is too expensive and I'm having trouble figuring out where to cut costs....

It's awesome. I still have my reserves about the modifications to the skills. Given that you can freely swap out your skills, and that you can swap out the runestones in the skills, and you can't spec your own attribute points...there really isn't any sort of thing one would call a "build.&quo...

Due to the budget cuts my school is switching to a monday wednesday, or tuesday thursday only schedule with very very few classes on friday. Are there any other schools doing this? Pitt is kind of like this. Almost all classes are m/w or t/th. But some geneds are m/w/f. Also, most recitations are o...

Just one thought on re-reading: Kultih referred to that cable end as "that-thing". Oh boy...are parallel ports now moved into the vintage realm, like rotary phones and 5-1/4 floppies? That and I noticed I now have my post count up so I'm averaging 1 post a year. I've burned several years ...

First of all, the only requirement is that the computer has to hook up to an HP Laser Jet 4 printer plug: http://i53.tinypic.com/syblaf.jpg Is there a that-thing-to-usb adapter I can use...? Well my humble audio setup is as follows: 1) Abit IP35 Pro onboard sound 2) Creative I-Trigue L3800 2.1 speakers Both of which I've owned for many years. The reason I bought the Abit IP35 Pro was Tech Reports review back then. And the I-Trigue where on sale, and frankly I still think they are the mo...

My very first computer I built when I was in 10th grade in high school. Mind you, this was a very hefty investment for me in high school. Spending $40 on something meant spending 8 hours in the hot sun working for minimum wage. I don't remember all the details, but this is roughly what it was: Penti...

I looked through most all the sale games and that one stood out to me. I'm not big on RPGs but this game is awesome and waaaay worth that price. I have tried to get away from Allistair being a tank but he is just too darn good. The only caveat to having Morrigan around all the time is that at some point youre going to choose something that she will dislike, a lot. If I absolutely had to pay for AV, it would either be sunbelt's vipre, or nod32. Kap and ZA get mentions for suite. I've had problems with Microsoft's AV, performance, usability, and false positives, and unistalled it, everything else is bloat. Currently using Avira, but have it disabled due to fal...

You have to boot up from the 64bit dvd and install from scratch, you'll need to back up your data. You can't upgrade from one to the other. I thought it would move the stuff as .old if you used the same drive. It's still a fresh install, just one that has your old data on it. I never quite figured ...
