Re: Wrist watches

I wear a watch all of the time for basically the same reasons that other people in the thread have mentioned. It's more accurate and convenient than a cell phone and it adds a bit of class to your appearance.

Re: Windows 7 Host Party woo!

How is MS supposed to verify that people are actually throwing parties, and not just trying to weasel their way into getting a free license?

Re: I was Pulled Over Today

I don't know, I'm of the opinion that if you are going to ride on the street, you should follow all of the rules. As a motorist, the last thing that I want to do is accidentally hit a biker that decided to run a stop sign or blow past me at a stop. I'm sure that there are probably plenty of safe bic...

Re: Windows 7 Host Party woo!

I got selected as a host too. Free Windows 7 Ultimate here I come! :D I'm guessing that my launch party is going to consist of me and my dad drinking beer and watching TV as I'm moving across the country about a week before the launch party is supposed to go down. Oh well, all I really care about is...

How is the fit and finish on the LCR? Does the metal finish seem like it would hold up well in humid weather?

Re: What are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

I'm sticking to water tonight. I drank an entire fifth of fireball whiskey and two 40oz bottles of PBR (Edward 40 Hands  ) on Saturday at the Husky football game. Fun times but excessive enough that I should take it easy the rest of the week I think.

Switching from XP to Ubuntu on laptop...battery life?

I think the topic says it all. I'll be using the latest version of Ubuntu and was wondering if anyone who has done a similar switch recently can comment on their battery life before and after the switch. I'm going to hold off for a couple weeks because I want to wait until after my current classes a...

It's a real shame, despite being a good game and one that I wanted to continue to play, just about ever server is dead right now. I have a couple months left on my sub and will continue to play, but I went and re-opened my Warcraft account as well because I actually like playing with other people. M...

Re: Warhammer MMO thread

While WoW is still a lot more polished in many areas, I really am enjoying some of the concepts of WAR, especially how they do PvP. I never really had time for the second job that WoW becomes to be able to get the gear to be competitive, so WAR seems like the perfect game for me.

Phenom X4 9850BE @ 2.7
Sempron 3000+

Re: The CALL to ARMS. What's your contribution?

Well after messing around with putting four console clients on my Phenom, I decided to just find a good guide and install the SMP client. Everything is chugging along great @ 1329 PPD right now. :) I completely forgot how addicting folding was during my hiatus. I'm half-tempted to buy a 8800gt so th...

Re: The CALL to ARMS. What's your contribution?

I stopped folding probably about 8 months ago when my main rig's motherboard died a horrible death. I just brought a P4 3GHz Prescott online today and will be bringing my new Phenom 9850BE online tomorrow. There's a good chance I'll be able to get another P4 online as well in the next day or so. Unf...

Re: tenuous claims to fame

Well, not that this really counts, but I got to shake President Bush's hand once. Probably a better example is that my grandpa knew Frank Nitti . My grandpa worked at a rather up-scale store in Chicago back in the day that saw a lot of traffic by celebrities and mobsters of the era. Evidently Frank ...

I didn't look back to see what you have, but really you should get the thing tuned and get the lawyer trigger down to something reasonable.... 2lbs or so max. 2) Get a good belt. Stiff, 1 3/4" wide at a minimum. No dress belts. On that note The Belt Man is a great place to go for gun belts. They're not cheap, but you get what you pay for when it comes to a gun belt. 5) Fobus is alright, but cheap. Bianchi is okay. Galco, Blade-Tec, Safariland... the...
