Hey, I am having a crash in games and I can't figure out how to resolve it. I think it is related to the relative GPU load, but my old card wasn't far out of date, and the new card is, you know, new. The crash is hard, reboot. Here are the scenarios... Far Cry 5 crashes Dishonoured 2 crashes Deus Ex...
In California you see this warning everywhere. So much so that people ignore it as meaningless. I think every building has the sign on it, so no one even cares anymore. My favorite is that it is posted anywhere old-school glass soda bottles are sold because the paint used to color their labels may c...
I do not see any replies, and I am researching the market for a similar system for my brother, so I am bumping this up. He travels for work internationally, so lighter might be more important than cutting edge, but he still wants to game. Needs to be able to run any current MMO with gaming VoIP like...
I've used some USB headsets, not speakers, and have gone back to the 3.5mm plugs. Because of the audio processor in the USB cable, they didn't switch like I wanted, so I often had to exit and restart something to get the audio to come back. Your case is modern and a top name, so no problems I suspect.
Whether you go with on-board sound or a separate sound card, do a little homework to make sure the case front audio ports have a common adapter so you can switch between the speakers and headset by just plugging and unplugging the headset. As far as equipment, there is so much variability in price a...
So, I am having an issue with web-delivered audio (youtube, vimeo, etc.) being such low volume it can't be heard, while "local" audio (iTunes, games, windows system sounds, etc.) is just fine. Strangely, iTunes samples from the iTunes store sound just fine also. Only seems to be a problem ...
I was thinking of the remnants of previous users... i.e. microbial soils. The visible soils (dust and oils) should rub off on the cotton ball or swab when you apply the IPA, and multiple applications are better for those because you are trying to remove them rather than destroy them. Contact time is...
I also have a completely off-topic personal suggestion: Do whatever you can to break yourself from the habit of opening sentences with "So....". I'm not just talking about written text, but also when speaking. Think about it when you speak, and stop yourself. http://www.slate.com/blogs/bu...
I read this review on RPS. Not all HOTAS, but something to get started. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/04/22/best-flight-stick/ Personally, I've always liked CHPoducts gear. I haven't used their throttle or pedals, but the build quality of the sticks I've owned is excellent. My 20yr old Flight...
You might also consider getting the SSD in the ~500GB range. The price/performance curves are looking really attractive there, and it might be large enough for your Steam folder
It has been used to hold the camera, flash, 2nd lens, macbook pro, diapers, wipes, changing pad, powder, bottle, and change of baby clothes while on vacation travel.
I think Amazon's share price reflects their goal of increasing sales at the expense of margins. They are the opposite end from Apple in that way. If you remember the sprint commercials from the 80s and 90s... volume. And, there was a great SNL parody of those commercials about a company that makes c...
I think from a legal standpoint, the fact that both drivers were trained and experienced in auto racing means that they have a greater duty to operate that vehicle in a safe manner. That makes their actions negligent, at the very least. I also think it is possible to praise a person's life as a whol...
I bought one of the AOC 16 inch usb monitors last year for under $100 (BBuy). It runs a separate driver that crashed every game I tried when running next to my GTX560Ti. But, it connected perfectly to the wife's MBP as a secondary monitor for her work (video editing). She can use it as a second scre...
Based on what the OP has said, I think XFX's response was fine. The OP apparently stated that the card was working, was labeled and boxed as the card he ordered, appeared in system to be that card, but differed from the picture and advertising taglines. They bounced his email around twice and they r...
I think webOS was dead on smartphone before Hp bought it. The Palm pre was always beaten up in reviews because too few apps, even though it had most of the major ones. So many reviewers liked it, but always mentioned it had only 10000 apps when iOS had a couple hundred thousand. Maybe not the only r...
I don't think you can disentangle the number of apps from the user base. More apps mean better advertising and more interest, which can mean more users to attract more developers, which means more apps... ad infinitum, ad nauseum. Look at WebOS. It was, arguably, a better OS than others in its day, ...
I am sure I've seen the Mythbusters test the shopvac explosion thing, and they had trouble making any kind of spark. Even with old models, they had to intentionally damage them to get any results. As to the OP, I personally like the method discussed above (I think it was JBI) where you blow with com...
No one is discounting your expert advice, but you are recommending a $200 set-up to a person who linked an $80 set-up as their current choice. There are lots of options in a similar price range, so I think that is the place to start here.
I have a pair of the Corsair 1500's (USB) just for gaming. The sound is less precise than what I am used to from good speakers and headphones, but for gaming and voip it works really well. It has the positional virtualization and I was surprised at how accurate it sounds. They are comfortable to wea...
