Re: Intel Processor bug incoming?

Well Epic's cloud services servers that host Fortnite seem to be struggling today and they've now come out and stated: All of our cloud services are affected by updates required to mitigate the Meltdown vulnerability. https://www.reddit.com/r/FORTnITE/comments/7of2n0/epic_services_stability_update/?...

Played it through multiple times. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Not even close to top ten games of the year. Yes it's very good. No it's nothing that special. Yes I'd recommend people play it.

Re: TV Shows - Share Them (NO SPOILERS)

I think Westworld and Stranger Things were both awesome, and make everything else suck in comparison. But they're old news, and can't wait till season 2's but that'll be a while. In the meantime: Don't forget shows that are still running, rather than just in their first season! Such as: Fargo - Abso...

If this is at all true then I should have died ~500 times already. Honestly I'm sick of the media at this point. Last 6 years of media has been awful.

Re: Mass Effect 2 for free!

How do you get all the DLC for free? Mine is just added to account but still makes me buy the DLC... only reason I wanted it was for the DLC (Shadowbroker) as I obviously already own the Digital Deluxe version on steam from when it came out. But Origin still pops up asking me for Bioware points rubb...

Yep Rey is 100% related to Obi-wan, either daughter or grand daughter. It's not even a question at this point. TFA was basically a mirror image in the Luke/Obi-wan vs Luke/Rey of a New Hope. So much so that they had to have done it on purpose so that when we do actually know when you go back and wat...

Are they obsolete? No. Are they more than enough? Depends. 95% of users yes. As others said it depends on the applications and multitasking. Are quad cores i5's the bottleneck in 99.9% of current games? No. Is the latest version of 3d mark representative of modern games? No. Is the latest version of...

I loved it. Absolutely 100% best possible movie that they could make with this plotline. I went in expecting it to be a total disaster and Disney to ruin everything. Nope. It was flawless asides from like 3 lines of dialogue in the whole thing. Plot made complete logical sense. All the characters ha...

I'm struggling to think of anything... (I spend quite a bit of time researching things before I buy them).... maybe a pull saw that I got on a whim while buying some sand paper that cost $20. But more because I probs used it on the wrong surface and de-teethed it doing the 1 job I needed it for.

I worked FIFO for 3.5 yrs just recently. 3DS was what I played. There's a good library if you're into JRPGs at all. Re: How do you tell when you come back to your PC if Windows 10 has restarted?

Checking whether the PC restarted is a lousy way to check whether a long-running job completed successfully. If it restarted, assume it failed. And use a tool that makes it easy to check whether the files got copied and/or allows you to write status to a log file (see the edit to my previous post)....

Re: How do you tell when you come back to your PC if Windows 10 has restarted?

I guess what I'm asking is, where was I meant to look to see like a "Your PC has updated" or whatever to prompt me to go investigating if my file transfer was done correctly or not.

Or how can I change the behaviour so it won't restart while I'm doing something?

Re: How do you tell when you come back to your PC if Windows 10 has restarted?

Yes, but I know it stopped the transfer because even the file size of a folder is different between the drive I was backing up and where I backed up to, so I know it's not like I didn't select all the files or something silly.

How do you tell when you come back to your PC if Windows 10 has restarted?

OK so I was doing a manual file transfer (backup) of a 1TB harddrive and started it and left my house and came back six hours later when it was "done". I arrived and there was a lock screen. So I assumed (I'm an ass) that the file transfer was complete. I've since realised 2 days later tha...

feedback hub is included with most versions of windows. Find it in the start menu. You can list bugs, suggest features, and vote on them, such as how the start menu is implemented. It's on wm10, pro, and home. There was, for a long time, a user voice website, but I think with the implementation of ...

Now that you guys mention it, if the Start Menu was actually just Win + X menu instead it'd be ENTIRELY more useful that's how **** it is right now. A **** text menu is leaps and bounds more functional.
