Because you fail the Turing test (Let's see if, supposing it is a bot, it responds to those words)

@pete_roth : What's a "Turing test", anyway ?

I'm human, ok ? Let's leave it at that.

Re: which proccessor should i get?

Yes, but you have little choice in the matter. Further explaining: all the new CPUs are for socket AM2/AM2 if they're AMD, and for socket 775 if they are from Intel. That means a new motherboard. Also, since you're using DDR1-type RAM, you won't be able to bring your current RAM to your new upgrade...

Re: Spyware/Adware/Malware/etc. - Read Me first.

I recently found another good anti-malware application : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

On the site it says that it's "shareware", but I found out it's actually freeware, without the real-time protection.

Just go to http://www.malwarebytes.org to download it.

Re: OpenOffice

Was thinking of downloading OpenOffice.org and was just wondering if anybody here has any experience with it, and wouldn't mind sharing your opinion. Thanks @RickyTick : Well, I have OpenOffice.org for a long while now and I like it very much. Why would you buy Microsoft Office if you can get an Of...

Your socket 939 motherboard is basically a dead-end, I'm afraid. You should get a new motherboard in your situation.

@morphine : Ok, thanks for the advice. Would the cost be higher if I upgrade my motherboard and everything else ?

Re: Must Have Programs!

I recently found a good anti-malware utility aside the known anti-spyware applications. The application that I found is called Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and it's freeware. If you don't use the real-time protection, that is. There is an optional paid version as well. Here is their homepage : http://w...

Socket 939 upgrade?

I have a question about processors.

Currently I have a AMD 64 3000+ processor on my Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939 motherboard.

Should I upgrade to a AMD 64 3500+ processor or just buy a new motherboard ?

I'm not that into hardware, though.

What would be your advice ?
