Deus Ex (first one), even the original Half Life.

Re: Crysis 2 :(

Still can't beat David Warner's Jon Irenicus... Eh? My complaint is that the guy was stupidly easy to kill. Mass haste + Strength of One + Defensive Harmony (and a few "drop resistance" spells) = SLAP SLAP THUMP SMASH THUMP DIE BITCH Hmm, I was referring to tanker27's comment above mine (...

Re: Crysis 2 :(

There's a reason the makers of the best games tend to have solid communication directly to and from their fans. That we agree on, I suppose I'm just too lazy to bang my head against a wall. Look at Bioware though: great catalogue of games and one of the best fan bases I know. Yet, in my opinion, th...

whinge when it doesn’t meet their expectations… You mean the expectations that crytek set when they said, "Crysis 2 Is a PC Game First, Console Game Second" . I don't think you fully understand why people are pissed at this game. This isn't just about a console port, this is Crysis2 which...

Re: Crysis 2 :(

So, small levels with loading zones are not a technical limitation? No, there are technical limitations, and also problems with the design choice. The problem isn't the console hardware per-se, but how the hardware is being used, and it's not being used efficiently. Consoles have decent graphics ca...

Re: Crysis 2 :(

No, it is a group effort. The console is basically a gaming rig with crippled hardware catered for kids, so any game released on it will be dumbed down in more ways than one In that one sentence you manage to flagrantly disregard the what, 20 odd years where consoles and PCs have happily coexisted ...

Re: Crysis 2 :(

Consolization is real and it is ruining the game industry. Consolization may or not be an issue, I can't be bothered with that debate. But: the gaming industry is not being ruined at all by consoles, it’s being ruined by publishers. What we’re seeing and we’re going to keep seeing is the limitation...

Re: Crysis 2 :(

Come on SPOOFE, you keep latching onto the same bleeding point. I get that you don’t like whiny PC gamers and their proclivities, but why disregard so much else of what people say? This game is crap: on console or PC (cue Wayne’s Worldesque: “Shyah! That’s like: just your opinion, man!”). The longer...

it’s been four years or so since the first game ... And the first game STILL has trouble playing well. Why do you want more of that? They were all but fixed in Warhead as far as I know, right? At least, it ran fine for me. Aside from that my meaning is that in four years we should be able to have o...

Re: Crysis 2 :(

I’ve played this game for about two and a half hours so far. I have found it to be unoriginal and uninteresting. The storyline seems weak, the characters are far too cliché, the action is stifled and lacking in variety. The AI, like many other technical aspects, seems to have regressed. Gone are the...

Could be quite useful for pest control. Play it in a rat / insect infested house and watch them scarper. Or play it in crime hotspots. Just don't play it near suicide hotspots.

Re: Dragon's Age II

Disappointed. After playing through such immersive and expansive games as the Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, NWN and KotOR series, this really does feel like regression in the areas that set Bioware apart from other developers. DAO wasn't bad in itself, but it still had nothing on the aforementioned, ...

Re: dymt reloaded

Can a zombie be resurrected? Sure, as long as there's an Arch-Vile hanging around. The reason I asked was because I'd always thought that a zombie was a reanimated corpse, but not exactly resurrected (I'd thought of resurrection as returning the soul as well). Wouldn't an Arch Vile just re-reanimat...

Been preoccupied with a lot of other things lately, just been perusing through the pics I’ve missed. Fantastic stuff, it just gets better and better! Mm, sounds like you'd be better off getting an SL-1210 MK2... Although, I've always found problems like this to be an enjoyable challenge. A system of suspension involving weights, springs and pulleys comes to mind. Very elaborate, but it'd probably be a focal point of much discussion, albeit perhap...

Re: What are you listening to RIGHT NOW?

Been listening to a lot of Tipper lately, Spun Cookie (from The Seamless Unspeakable Something) in particular stands out because the first 30 seconds reminded me of the soundtrack to Machinarium (which, if you haven't played, you really should). I'm guessing the people who made the soundtrack to tha...

Try setting the SATA controller to compatibility mode. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that, but I went into the BIOS and set the SATA to Legacy and also to AHCI as opposed to RAID. It did not change the problem though. To elaborate a bit further, when I boot LiveCD I get to the menu screen f...

Ok I'm having big problems making a DOS disk for Win 7 [64]- I'm not exactly that clued in on this sort of stuff.
