Ned, you should spend the 2 easy minutes that it takes to relocate the libraries that you want. You can choose which libraries go on which drive and in which directory and Windows will move the files for you.

it doesn't always behave and some programs will ignore the different locations.

Re: Directors and VPs in a large corporation

Corporate America is breeding sociopaths. Politicians and CEO's were the start. But their attitudes have slowly seeped into the general population. Children growing up today, think of the common complaints, we are raising them to lean even moreso towards that sociopathic behavior.

the one i get the most at the office is "the network is slow". you know walking down a corridor and walking by someone who says "hi, how are you?, have you noticed the network is slow today?" You know, I say this to the IT guys at my work, because I can actually tell when it is....

I have actually dived in probably 6 years now, have played through both the Wii Endless Oceans games, and would love a new diver game to play/test, even if its more action/competitive. Can I snag a key?

Re: Vehicle Ads and "sexy" human models

tossing a bike and a bikini together in a photo isn't smart advertising, it's just lazy, the response is just as lazy & equally unoriginal. the 2012 Dodge Ram Superbowl commercial was creative and didn't require a bikini... it was smart advertising, it's why it stands out. the 2011 Star Wars Vo...

Re: Vehicle Ads and "sexy" human models

Ignoring the sexual connotations; Models are used to represent "perfection", a sleek healthy body that has no excess fat or negative features (and yes, some are way too thin for my tastes). If they were to model an "average" person, would I think expect the thing they are selling...

Re: Radeon HD 6870 Trifire possible?

Well I think the primary issue you would run into is whether your motherboard has 3 pcie slots to put those cards into. Chances are that you have 2 pcie-8x/16x slots then one pci-e 4x (or 1x), which would more than likely cause problems with the setup, if it worked at all.

Re: Crossfire, or not to crossfire...

It would be foolish to buy a 1GB card these days, even if you're only pushing a 1080p display. VRam requirements have skyrocketed, texture sizes are huge. Not to mention what everyone else has stated about the inherent issues with SLI/Crossfire. I've been using a 6870 x 2 setup for several years now...

if the 7xxx series has even a fraction of the issues my 6870's have been I would say go for one powerhouse card instead. And i'd wait. We have next gen consoles coming in the winter, along with current gen already having had their mid-gen refresh months ago ("boost" "Ti" "OC...

Re: Virus protection for parents

Problem with any of these solutions is that "the parents" are going to click something they shouldn't, get a toolbar/searchbar installed and their system while not "infected" will still be junked up, be slow, have weird search results, and eventually get a real 0-day exploit from...

Re: More "project Titan" news from Blizzard

How do we know this was that successful? Just throwing out wild numbers here, but if 25% ( i dunno what the real % is) of the 10million people who bought the game sold one piece of gear on the RMAH (@$1.00 to post + 15%) for $2.00 (a low end number), blizz would be looking at almost $3million. Lets...

Speculation but: -Previous investor conference calls / reports from Blizz have labelled Titan as "a future casual mmo" -Jay "RMAH" Wilson is on the team -Game was "scrapped" within 6 months of JW joining I'm guessing that Titan was originally going to be WoW with heavil...

Re: Sim City: Is it better yet? / Good Management Games?

Had the launch been managed better and the game called "SimTown" or "Societies 2" or basically anything other than SimCity, the reception would have been an order of magnitude better. But you'd still have the Nissan Leaf and $10 Ferris Wheel to explain.

Re: WoW to stay undisputed king of MMORPGs for 3 more years?

WoW is barely an mmo these days. EVERY zone is multi-instanced, nearly all content can be fast-traveled to, actual social interaction can be almost completely avoided. It's a carnival of mini-games now, with the "rollercoaster" being raiding / pvp. Hundreds of players, in one location? Sur...

I would have loved to have jumped on the bandwagon in the first months of bitcoin. You could mine them relatively quickly, instead of the days? it takes now just for a unit. Or even just bought up a bunch of them when they were worth $0.10 a piece.
