Re: Can we talk about Doki Doki Literature Club?

I didn't get it when I played it initially having no information on the game (this might be a minor spoiler)...
after the game goes down the dark path, it is expected to glitch. It is not a bug on your system. Keep playing through it!
It just never crossed my mind what they were doing.

Outside the typical DC shows... The Good Place - last fall's comedy starring Kristen Bell who ends up in someone else's afterlife. Writing is very good and will subvert your expectations The Magicians - finished season 2, it starts slow as a kind-of "Harry Potter for adults" and really tak...

Re: What do you think of the price on this gaming laptop

I personally prefer something in the 14-15" range, near ultrabook specs and less weight. You'll definitely pay more for it, but much easier to carry around. I'd look at: Gigabyte P34G v2 - http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4927#kf This is a 14" - second revision. I have...

Re: Best way to physically mount external hard drives

I've taken many single enclosure drives and moved them to a multiple bay hard drive enclosure - running eSATA or USB. I got a good deal on cheap enclosure similar to this one, run 24/7 to my server using eSATA http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256095&cm_re=external_esata-_...

The 3 new legendary gems in PTR seem all defensive and lackluster. So no, don't expect them to replace your offensive gems anytime soon. From PTR notes: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/16802653/patch-212-ptr-patch-notes-updated-128-12-8-2014 2.1 just adds more to grind for really once you've already...

Re: MMS Messages Fail to Download

On my Galaxy S3, I had to disable the automatic download of MMS. Once I do that, I can manually hit the Download button and it works. I don't know if that's a great solution, but its a workaround for me.

Re: Consdering replacing WHS2011 with Windows8 Pro

I didn't like the limitations on storage spaces - the fact that the total space is limited by the size of the smallest drive (times multiplier) and you have to destroy the space in order to remove a disk. Plus your data is no longer accessible directly on disk as NTFS partitions. Have you tried Driv...

I've gotten boxes where every drive was perfect in it's own box. I've gotten others that are just OEM bubble-wrapped... except they didn't tape up the ends so they got tossed out of their wrapping. Sad.

If you don't get a removable disk option, you can use a utility like Hotswap! to disable the disk before removal. I've used that successfully to hotswap.

I couldn't avoid the specs on the Gigabyte U2442 (I got the ULV U2442V version) and it's impressive. A 640M in a < 4lbs ultrabook. The 14" is just right for travelling and its really impressive with the SSD. $1200. It was in stock last week, but it must have run out quickly - most of the US dis...

Re: Recommendations for a sci-fi novel

Most of my favorites are already listed: Dune, Ender's Game, anything Hamilton or Reynolds, Hyperion.
I would add: Saga of the Seven Suns by KJA. It's a pretty good space opera and the narrative moves quick enough not to get lost in a mindf* of too much fluff.

I was looking at that Lian-Li PC-A05NB and thought: the flipped motherboard is is going to allow hot air to accumulate at the top back. Then I realized it's cooling back-to-front . That seems like a bad idea to do unless you had your computer in a position that blowing air in the back is bad. It may...
