Haha. No way. When I'm 95 and shaking all over, I'll still be building my system! Will probably bleed a lot, but it'll be worth it.

Re: Part-time jobs, in tech

I do a lot of part-time work on top of my full-time job. It is related to programming tho. It is pure telecommute - meaning I work from home which is awesome. I just search in the job groups. You'll be surprised in how much work there is. I have to luxury of picking the jobs I want. Most of the time...

Thanks! I'll be honest and say I didn't expect Amazon to have mattress. They have everything.

I think this is a great idea cuz it is delivered to your door! No hauling it home. I'm going for one as I need one.

And then the article goes on to say that 2TB is possible. Scares me. I guess I would leave the card in the camera and never take it out until I get to a clean desk and then leave it overnight to transfer everything over an easier-to-find storage place.

Yea, I am definitely done with the upgrades!! I have probably done far more than what anyone would do with a propriety PC like a Dell XPS 410 (upgrade to PSU, graphics card, ram, SSD, a recent replacement sound card, and of course Win 7-- which I've been running on it for years). And I am crossing ...

Hi. One thing you might want to keep in mind tho. Buy a SSD that is SATA III capable. That way when you get your new system it will be future proof. SATA III drives are compatible with the SATA II adapter. Then going forward, you can just add the SSD to the new system. Just my 2 cents. The OP got h...

Good deal! I don't know how great PNY is gor graphics cards (EVGA would be a mega deal). I think the cheapest I've seen is $329-$349, but from better known brands, like EVGA, and those were with rebates. This one is straight up. I've been wanting to get one without any real need for it. Yep, same here. I'm buying it the minute it comes out just to support the developer for keeping his fans informed!

I also like the fact is it not so violent. None of that first person shooting stuff that is everywhere.

Re: Help with Router and Modem

Try this first. Unplug the power to both the modem and router. wait a few minutes. Plug in the modem first til it is fully started up then plug in the router. See what happens. The router might be having trouble getting the DHCP number. Hope that works. Usually works 90% of the time for me.

Yea, It wouldn't be worth it for that one monitor. On the other hand, if you plan to go triple monitor, yea... Also, you need to check your motherboard to see if you have two PCI-E X16 slots. 8x lanes each is good enough.

Food for thought.
