Re: Lead designer for Core microarchitecture?

Thanks for all your replies! I was just curious since I just finished reading "Race to a new game machine" by David Shippy about the PowerPC core in Cell and the Xenon. So just wanted to find out more about the great engineers involved in the processors I use everyday on the desktop :) Wou...

Lead designer for Core microarchitecture?

We all know and hear about the CEO of Intel and other big companies. But I wanted to know if anyone knows the names of the engineers who designed the Core microarchitecture? I know hundreds or thousands of engineers were involved in making the chip but who were the technical leads? For example, Vino...

Re: Graphic's card update

1. What is your screen resolution?
2. What is your budget?
3. What is the specification of the rest of the system (CPU and RAM)?

Re: CPU Importance When GPU FOLDING With NVIDIA

Just make sure that the card fits in the chassis properly. Some of the inspiron models have quite a small case.

Re: BIF's Linux Adventures

Do you see a boot grub menu? If you do, then maybe try editing the Ubuntu command ('e' in the boot menu) and then add acpi=off to the kernel parameters.

TR review numbers downloadable?

I was wondering if we can get all the awesome amount of review data that is generated (benchmark numbers for CPUs, GPUs and like) in a properly formatted form which is machine readable? There can be several applications of such data. For example, CPU and GPU prices always change. So if I had a machi...

Re: AMD 9550 not compatible with 1066 ram?

I am running a gigabyte 78g-s2h with 9550 with 2x1gb 1066 RAM and its running fine. I did not need to change voltages or anything but I did need to set the RAM frequency in BIOS. I did not OC the CPU.
The brand of RAM is crucial.
