Hey there-- Well, I remember seeing some random posts on people having difficulty OCing their Soyo Dragon + to take it past 133mhz. I also remember some people having success. Now that I finally get my system up and running though, I can't seem to find those posts. I've tried taking my system past 1...

Hey everyone, Well, I fired up my new computer for the first time last night and everything appears to be working very smoothly. The only hiccup I could notice was when playing a DVD. I put Gladiator in and the movie appeared to "shutter" or "skip" every now and then. I went to the ATi diagnostic fe...

Everyone, Well, I'm just about ready to fire up my newly built computer. However, I'm aware that there is a bios upgrade for my Soyo Dragon Plus. I've never flashed a bois before. Should I do it after I install WINXP? Before? Not sure what the regular standards are here. Also, is it recommended that...

Hey everyone, Well, as I mentioned yesterday, I finally got my CPU. I was all excited to install the thing when I realized my Thermaltake Dragon Orb 3 would not grasp itself correctly to the CPU. I couldn't even get one end of the fan to grasp onto the hooks on one side of the CPU. I had a shim on t...

I think we'll get a clearer picture of the industry--and future--when ATi premieres their R300. The 8500 128 is nice, but like the GEForce4, it's really only a rehash of current tech. (Being cheaper helps though) Hopefully, ATi will give us a spring to look forward to. Until then, I'll stick with th...

Take a look at this link from AnandTech and then tell me if you still think the 8500 is a waste of money. According to Theinquirer.net, the R300 is expected to come out sometime in late Feb./early March. The chip, supposedly has already been finalized and the design has been sent to ATi's partners for manufacturing. Regardless, you can bet that they'll release it close to the release of the GF4. I think it's funny how nobody has even considered the new Radeon R300, which will also be coming out soon. It's going to support Direct-X 9 and have clock speeds higher than the GF4. They expect ATi to go for NVidia's jugular on this one and with ATi securing partners away from NVidia so does everyo...
