Hmm odd. hey are u using steam cloud for l4d 2? maybe its messing up and still thinks vsync is still on when u have it off.

Its nice that mobo makers make these tweaking programs cause no one uses them lol. To me nothing beats good ole bios overclocking. If you dont know how to there are hundreds of guides on the net. Also if you dont have one invest in a nice cooler for your cpu!

Pci express 2.0 crads work just fine in normal pci express slots. Get the hd 4670...

Yea you cant go worng with Gigabyte boards. They might look ugly with all the funky color componets. But they are some of the best around.

IMHO Crysis overall looks better than Farcry 2. One thing i hate in farcry 2 is when you turn the grass turns too to keep the view angle at one perspective. They are still 2d and not full 3d blades. Stand next to a object with grass next to it and turn and watch the blades twist right through the ob...

You should be able to get close to 4ghz if not over. I have a xeon 3110 in another rig of mine at 4ghz. It basicly the exact same chip...

yea if you only got 1gb of ram then it probably pulling it off your hard drive. You can get 2gb dirt cheap now a days for like $30.

Your probably better off building a $500 box based around a hd 4830 or a 9600 gt. If i wasnt at work posting on my cell phone i would link you up one...

I have the same problem with the windowing at start up issue. Its probably something that will have to be fixed in a patch or a driver.

Yea i second On the Evga version. There customer support and rma service are second to none. Ive had everything from a 7950gt to a 8800 ultra from them. Great stuff!

I would get a cheaper processor,get a 4850, and get a x48 mobo. This way if you want to add a second card later you will 2 full 16x pci express slots unlike the 2 8x mode on the p45 boards... I would recomend the Gigabyte x48 DS4, thats what i have and i couldnt be more pleased with it. Around $230 ...

Looks good! The 800+ of ram on that card should do you good at your monitors max res.
