Re: So, Skyfall

The one thing that I was disappointed about was that it was more like an action film and less like a James Bond film. I thought that Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace were more faithful to the character and style of bond movies than this one was. Then again, I guess they rebooted the series for a...

Microcenter undercuts newegg on CPUs to sell everything else; I usually wait for a sale to buy from either Microcenter or Newegg anymore though.

I hate that they had to talk to Phoronix. Last time he was on the 'STEAM 4 LINUX ITS HAPPENING GUISE_' train, he found the smallest amount of proof possible (http://www.phoronix.com/vr.php?view=14924) and then considered it as good as gold, posting everywhere that it was a sure thing, WITHOUT TALKIN...

Re: General purpose lens for full frame

FF cameras have inherently better ISO tolerance than crop cameras, because of their size. Any advantages the current crop cameras are irrelevant because of the new FF camera (5d mkIII) coming out. Granted it's largely been optimized for video, we have every reason to believe that it is still a VERY ...

Honest Hearts was amazing, easily one of my top 5 gaming experiences, And Joshua Graham is / was one of my favorite characters ever. Old World Blues is also very good, and so is Dead Money, but it was Old World Blues' back story that made dead money seem worth it.

That's a very welcome change. 69xx cards and their NV equivalents run pretty toasty. They really don't get all that hot. My 4870X2 ran into the upper 90s to low 100s (on a hot day) for 2 years before I put it under water. Sure, 80-90 C seems hot...but it's really not. for real. When i was folding o...

1.) Valve (Nuff said)

3.) Whoever made BioShock. That game taught me that video games could be art.

I guess they learned from doom 3 how much people like light.

In other news, I'm trying out Slackware and Gentoo in VM, to help learn Linux. The fact that ubuntu is switching to unity might've helped that decision.

There are people that are legally adults, and a few that have kids, but no one over 19, IIRC. I don't really anyone's mature enough to be considered an adult though.

Those claims of 'we need to charge $x dollars' are crap.
The last 2 CoDs set multi-Billion sales records. Even the PC versions run 60 bucks, and am I to assume that's because of licensing? Everyone's willing to pay $60 a game, and Activison / EA doesn't want to lose out on an extra bit of profit.

C-Ray happens to be one of our favorite multi-threaded ray-tracing benchmarks . What does this compare to? Well, running an easy OpenBenchmarking.org comparison shows...

I like that more than the 'lol glocknade' you get else where. I really liked the glock 17 (or 19, no sure) I fired at a range,
But it wasn't as fun as their kimber 1911. The most fun was probably the .357 shooting .38 special, or the ruger .38 cowboy gun.
