Re: Greatest game trailer of all time!

I must agree. Quite an epic trailer. Now I'm just hoping the game is as good as the trailer, but I have a feeling it won't be. Maybe I'll be surprised, though.

Re: Enter our MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti giveaway here

Count me in. I could use a dedicated graphics card, for sure. The only "downside" would be I would actually have to upgrade monitors (currently stuck on a 15" Dell CRT :o ) to be able to tax the GPU at all.

I wouldn't mind that. :D

Re: Heroes of Newerth!

I still say LoL is better - It's free and it's fun. LoL is good, but very different. To me it feels less involved than HoN, which is good in some ways and bad in others. The Champions don't feel quite as balanced and lot of the rounds I've played have been much more imbalanced than HoN rounds. Beca...

Vindictus

I just found this game called Vindictus and it looks like it might be pretty fun. http://vindictus.nexon.net/ Has anyone played this or heard anything about it? Looks like it might be a little lacking as far as customization and content, but it's pretty new. Also, it's free, if you were wondering. :)

Re: Heroes of Newerth!

I play HoN! So much fun. I'm not on too often due to boring things like work and I definitely suck at it, but it's such a fun game to play. My username is Creech, if you want to add me and play sometime.

Re: Does your city have PC arcades?

There are several around the RDU area in NC. I used to go to GameFrog on a regular basis and it was normally pretty packed in the evenings and weekends. Not sure how they are doing now since I haven't been in a few years, though. #1, people in america do not walk anywhere Also, not sure what walking...

Linux Games

I know there are tons of free Linux games out there, a few of which are pretty darn good. But what about games that aren't free? What non-free games are available for Linux right now that are good? The best that I know of is Heroes of Newerth , which has native versions for Windows, Mac OS, and Linu...

Re: ATI troubles in Linux, thinking of NVIDIA

From my experiences, ATI cards have worked without any hitches at all with any LTS version of Ubuntu (or Ubuntu LTS derivatives). Non LTS versions? Horrendous. Awful. Terrible. Until 10.04 was released, I still kept an old 8.04 install because it was the last version that had ANY 3D support at all w...

Re: well, that's just creepy -- jumping spiders hate IR

As far as I know, most of Canon's cameras use what Canon refers to as "IR" assist for focusing, but it is usually more of a deep red than IR. Depends on the model though. Anyway, about jumping spiders : "Sensitivity to longer wavelengths (>650 nm) has been controversial. In our study ...

Re: Discuss TR's hardware photography contest

Hey! I'm new to the forums, but I just wanted to say thanks for being an awesome website and thanks for having a hardware photography contest. :D Of course the one time when I actually need my camera for something with a deadline, my friend is borrowing the camera! Thankfully I had some previous pho...

Life=PAIN, get used to it

Wow, people are funny. There is plenty of documentation and tons of people willing to help if you just ask. This applies just as much for Windows as it does for Linux. And Windows has just as many problems as Linux, it's just different. If someone decides to go outside of the default supported stuff...
