E3 2014?

I find it a little odd that there isn't already a thread on the front page about this but how did everyone think E3 went this year? Personally I spent a lot more time watching videos from Nintendo than I thought I would this year, although most of my favorite announcements came from Sony I think.

Re: Can a Wii U be installed into Wii peripherals?

Can someone tell me where you can buy a Wii U game pad separately? As it doesn't work without the console, one is sold with every console, and more than one is not currently compatible per console it really doesn't make any sense.

The Cave

Anyone else playing this? Pretty short but made for multiple play throughs, I've gotten every ending now but am interested in pursuing speed runs. I've already found a way to basically skip one section entirely and have an idea for significantly decreasing the back tracking time in another, plus fin...

Re: Wii U

It took me about 1/2 an hour to download the 1GB patch on launch day starting at about 9am CST and another 10 minutes for the Wii U to install it (which I assume included unpacking it to the full 5GB and other housecleaning). That was probably somewhere in the neighborhood of about 350k of them at t...

I got it and finished off bowser in two days (albeit, that was pretty much 10 hours straight) but just got the last star coin yesterday. I would say its overall difficulty is considerably harder than nsmb wii but not the hardest 2D mario game imo. Very fun and if you play in groups the tablet multip...

I would probably just get her a Trinity based laptop at this point, it'll game better than anything you can get working on that machine based on the CPU alone.

I'm going to jump in here with the following and no, I haven't read the whole thread and I likely won't be back to respond to any responses. I've been gaming on both consoles and PC's since I was old enough to hold a joystick. From a yellow and black 320x200 12" monitor to now my 1080p TV, and ...

Humble Bundle 4

Since I didn't see a thread with this http://www.humblebundle.com/ has it's fourth bundle out and it's a doozy. Any payment will get you Night Sky HD Shank Super Meat Boy Bit.Trip.Runner Jamestown And beating the average adds Cave Story+ and Gratuitous Space Battles. Best HB since the second one IMO.

Re: best cpu verses cost at the end of 2011

Best bang for $ is almost always at the bottom end because performance doesn't scale linearly with price but what you probably really want are some i5 2500's. So long as the case fans can handle the heat (which shouldn't be a problem given the P4's that were in there beforehand) you should be good t...

There's no real way to do it manually unfortunately, that being said, it won't pull a whole lot of power when idle, probably less than a single CFL.

Re: If Star Wars was remade....

You wouldn't need to redo the entire series, just the prequels. Episode 1 would need significant alterations, kill Jar jar 1/2 way through, maybe by Anakin's hands on "accident", develop Anakin and Padme's relationship there instead of E2 and make Anakin a practicing Padawan by the end, al...

Re: Bulldozer Availability: Was this a soft launch?

I think Zambezi will be scarce for the entirety of its product life. You've got Llano (soon to be Trinity), Zambezi and Interlagos fighting for the same rare silicon node, one you can't make enough of, and the other is likely far more profitable per chip. I doubt they'll be manufacturing as much of ...

Re: How to determine how just much UPS I need

I personally go by the rule of thumb for double my PSU wattage, a 500W PC gets a 1KW UPS, this gets expensive, but they never run into any problems.
