Re: Windows 10 forced restarts - unimaginable rage

I upgraded to win 10 about a week ago and haven't seen it reboot on it's own yet.

Have spent more time than expected removing bloatware though.

So far though, I think it's much better than 8. But that's not saying much.

Re: Weirdest Hardware Incompatibility Ever - G110 Keyboard

I have been using a G110 on win7 for quite a while, and the only problem I've had is it been a little finicky about the keyboard or mouse being in the same USB slot they were in before.

Win7 driver issue I geuss, but happens rarely and I just move the plug and it starts working.

Re: Fortran will be the Death of me

I used to code Fortran a "few" years back. Unless that's a very ancient Fortran, I'd say that it's actually written in very early BASIC. As noted in the OP, it is FORTRAN IV. FORTRAN IV has been around since 1962. My guess is that you were using FORTRAN 90, which does not look much like F...

All those gotos and do loops. Very ugly stuff.

One could rewrite it in a more modern language, but not a trivial task.

Re: Favourite Cpu of all times

My pick goes with the times. First it was the Q6600, then my I7 920, and now it's the 2500K that I'm using right now.

Amazing chips and amazing values. :D

Re: Mass Effect 3 Discussion Thread

Loving the game so far. Glad to be back in the ME universe with new things to do. Graphics look good and story is very good so far. Got my first big story line surprise last night. Can't say. Joker is hilarious. As for the Cerberus dudes with the riot shields, the best thing is to snipe them through...

Nope.

I'll try to get these out on Monday or Tuesday. Patience builds character.

Re: Help with new Gaming PC

Your system looks good. I would skip the SSD if you want to save money. They are just too expensive for what you get in my opinion, but if you can afford it then it might be fun. Regarding the graphics card, I have a 6950 and it handles my 1920x1200 monitor with no problem. If you're only using 1680...

Doesn't really go with my HD6950, but maybe I can do some fusion with it. A free card is a free card. :D

Re: Chuck

I have no idea what's going to happen next season, but I never thought for a moment that they wouldn't rebuild the Buy More.

In any case, the extended cast will remain in some shape or form. That is my feeling.
