Re: Logitech Z-5500 Dead?

Called customer support this afternoon to no relief. They were able to get in into diagnostic mode but then it never displayed the firmware edition that it should have. They have no parts available to fix this system.

Logitech Z-5500 Dead?

My Logitech Z-5500 have not been able to start. When you press the power button the pod turns on but will only stay on while you hold down the power button while displaying "Input: Direct 96-24, Effect: Detecting...". The second that you release the power button it returns to the idle red ...

Got a new xfx 7950 the other day. So far no crashes during benchmarks or games. Games run much smoother with more eye candy to boot too.

The cooler was pretty full of dust so I cleaned it out. Now the system will not crash every time when running a bench at stock speeds but only can finish the test half of the time.

AMD Rumor Mill?

My 6850 1gb is starting to show its age with crashes and stuttering in some games. The crashes can be avoided if you drop the vram clocks from 1000mhz to 950mhz. My question is has there been any talk about when the next generation from AMD will appear? I don't mind waiting a few months of undercloc...

Yes, I did that just today and the same results. According to Afterburner my gpu temps never exceeded 68 deg C during the test. I also have a 120mm fan on the front of the case pointing at the video card.

AMD 6850 Failing

I have a Gigabyte 6850 http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3614#ov . I have been trying to run the new 3dMark 13 this week but have had trouble with my system. When the system is running the Cloud Gate benchmark stage the system normally crashes. I have now lowered my core/memory ...

Re: Adobe Lightroom 4 out today...with a new, lower price

Bought LR 4 this morning with my student discount. Looking forward to a better solution than using my slew of software (Olympus Master 2, Photoplus X3, Gimp 2.6, PS 7.0) to play with my E-420 pics. Wondering how well the noise reduction will work on high ISO images too.

Does anyone know an open source program that would allow you to create layouts in a similar fashion as adobe illustrator? The new console is running just fine and took very little work to get both the smp and gpu Barts PRO up. The one thing I have noticed is the new FF 4.0 is so incredibly sluggish if I have a GPU folding in progress or paused. If there is no gpu work unit loaded FF runs great. Anyone know a solution.....

Re: 6850 Not Working

This is an odd question, give that your 4670 works, but I see you are using a 785G motherboard. Do you have the BIOS set to look for a video card? It's not set to got to IGP first is it? Yeah I tried plugging in the monitor to the igp even to no luck when the 6850 was installed, bios is set to vc f...

I did already uninstalled the drivers and installed the 10.12 drivers from amd then tried the 10.10 that came with the card. The system does boot to windows but the video is never displayed, the video doesn't work during the post/bios or after. My psu is a Corsair TX 650W - 52A on 12V.

F@H Smp Config?

I have a 955 BE that I regularly fold with set on -smp 3. I was wondering is there a faster way to change that setting to -smp 4 or 2 depending on what I feel necessary? In other words is there away to edit the config file without re-entering every line? Thank you for your time.
