NZXT H2 external SATA hot-swapping

As per the TR system guide, I have a NZXT H2 case with the external SATA dock on the top of the case (very nice feature BTW) However, when I’m ready to change drives, I don’t see any way to stop or eject the drive under Windows 7 (ie what you would do for a USB stick). For those who have the same ca...

Re: heatpipes & Z77 boards/RAM

In case anyone stumbles onto this thread and wants a clearer answer I used: MSI Z77A-GD55 Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo 4x4GB of Crucial Ballistix (regular profile ) The fan on the Hyper 212 Evo just barely overlaps with the first DIMM, but there is just over 1cm of clearance with regular ram so there ...

Re: heatpipes & Z77 boards/RAM

Good info all around.

I went ahead and ordered the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo. It seems narrower than the Corsair A70 and reviews seem to have them both perform somewhat comparably.

Going to use it with an MSI Z77A-GD55 and 4x4GB of regular profile memory. Will report back if there are any problems.

heatpipes & Z77 boards/RAM

I will be putting together an Ivy Bridge system on a (probably) MSI Z77 board. I'd like to use a heatpipe cooler (ie Corsair A70 or Coolermaster Hyper 212) but I've heard that they can sometimes have problems with overlapping the RAM chips, especially those with tall heatsinks. A few questions: 1) I...

That trade is the definition of selling high WRT Reyes. How true. Though before pulling the trigger on this trade, if Tree! shopped Soriano around the league, he/she probably could have gotten a much better return than Reyes. IMVHO it's no one's job to police trades to make sure they are equitable ...

IMHO I dont have much of a problem with it. Soriano is an elite player having an awful start and fighting injury and Reyes is an unproven closer off to a great start. The ranking are indeed out of whack but it's only 3 weeks into the season. Overall I see it as a bit of a gamble on both sides w.r.t....

This is my first time in a H2H league and I'm curious what everyone's general strategies are when determining who to start against your opponents from week to week. Assuming you have some flexibility in your lineup, do you stack up on categories you think you can win and secure those points while po...

Thank you for setting it up and running the league, it was fun. Sorry I couldnt put up more of a fight in the finals. H2H is a nice format, and a little tweaking of the categories would make it even better next year.

Wow, a lot of the categories are pretty close, even though I'm down 15-2. I made a big mistake electing not to activate Langkow last night. Left 3 pts and a short handed assist sitting on the bench :-? Oh well, let's see if a few of your previous players can help me close the gap by the weekend :)

I've never done weekly lineups but it should be interesting. Is there a minimum of innings pitched? Or max, for that matter? I could see how a pitcher might get pushed back in the rotation and you dont end up with enough innings and lose all pitching categories. Overall I'm looking forward to the se...

Also, they've apparently set an end date for the series so they should be able to plan for the story arcs to end logically and gracefully. What's the most miserable sports town?

By miserable, I mean what city has big league teams that are so perpetually disappointing and underachieving, that to be a fan in that town is a but curse of eternal disconsolate torture? Where teams seem to be out of the playoff hunt 1/4 through the season every year and previous championships (if ...

Damn do I hate EB. I despise the fact that they break the factory seal and then try to sell it as 'new'. You can bet some EB employees are 'sampling' the new games that you are paying for. EB is not any cheaper than any other store like BB so there is practically no reason to shop there at all. I do...

Personally, I'd have xenogears redone with brand new graphics and ported to PC. Hmm... So really the definition of a perfect game doesn’t mean that zero batters reached base, which clearly happened in this example? I would have thought that as soon as the lead-off batter walked, any possibility of a PG for any pitcher was gone. Would it have still been a PG if the lead-off reac...

I would think so. I think to qualify for a save, you must be in the game for 0.1 innings (one out). AFAIK it doesnt specify how that out must occur. But by that logic, you could get the out with the old '1st base hides the ball in his glove' trick, and you could get the save without having even touc...

Anyone up for non-TR fantasy football?

Hope it's not inappropriate to post this here, but if anyone missed out on the TR leagues or is looking for even more FF, I've registered a Yahoo league with some friends that is looking for more players to fill out the league. If interested, PM me, and I'll send you the details. Draft is this Friday.

There is plenty of discussion about this on the likes of slashdot/ars/etc

I'm somewhat skeptical about this and feel that we dont have all the details yet. Still, I'm hopeful this is a legitimate move on the part of CC and ultimately strikes a blow for fair use.
