Since the beach and fireworks are 99% of the reason that the wife and kids come along, I'm going to leave them home and come by myself. See everyone Saturday. Aww, that sucks. There are two public beaches very close if they want to check them out, though. And at that beach there won't be some madma...

Price <$300 and 12 TB drive is simply not going to work. Cheapest 12 TB on Newegg as I type is $408.99. Also, Synology enclosures aren't cheap.
