Re: CaseLabs Bankrupt and Forced to Close Down

Also, their statement that they're still trying to complete as much of the outstanding orders as possible isn't congruous with a Chapter 7 filing. I was surprised by that too, but they do specify that they'll try to ship parts already ordered, and it's possible that the parts have no market value a...

Here's the spot price per pound for aluminum ingot over the past 12 months. Trading range has been $0.89/lb - $1.18/lb. Is that what a case manufacturer would need, though? You don't just go out and buy a cubic metre of aluminium, I suppose. I have no idea what a case manufacturer would need. CaseL...

That may be useful public information. 2- These schedules are very important to the proceeding. These are reviewed by the case trustee, and the creditors. If they are improperly f...

I am not trying to defend or say what was the true reason for this company to fail, but at least wait until the postpartum examination by the coroner before we speculate. Completely off-topic, but this made me chuckle. Especially the "postpartum" bit. I guess CaseLabs is about to give bir...

Re: What liquid is used for "water" cooling?

Commercial/industrial air conditioning often uses ammonia as a refrigerant. That might be what that was. My sister and her husband own an ice business. You know, the 5lb bags of cubes you get at the corner store. Their entire cooling cycle is built on pure anhydrous ammonia. They run a full-on disa...

C'mon Ned, you've seen Chicago's mass transit systems! (Have you ridden on the subway or "El"? I don't recall.) The Blue Line from O'Hare to the Loop is a mixture of El and underground. Since it goes to O'Hare, I figure its the one part of the system they try to keep looking somewhat tidy...

Time to work on a financial plan. Audi is putting its insane 400hp turbo 5-cylinder motor (for altekackers like me, Audis MUST have 5 cylinders & turbos) in the new Q3, creating the RS Q3.

I want one. Badly.

The only one of the landfills that even looks semi-planned is the Back Bay. Yeah, rocks and bricks were all there was in 1630. I lived in Boston for 4+ years. It's...a **** if you drive, but that's just foolish.
