Re: Video Card Prices

I highly doubt there's enough concentration of mining going on in any given area to even cause the local utility company to notice. I found a 2015 article for a 2016 presentation (before the Fall 2016 Bitcoin complexity increase) that estimated worldwide Bitcoin mining power draw at a steady 250 me...

TR Football 2017

I now officially despise Yahoo (though after a season on ESPN in a work league, they're worse). Yahoo has been bugging me to auto-renew Keepers and Bounties for a month now. When I clicked on the "don't auto-renew" button, both leagues disappeared from Yahoo's database without any warning ...

I've been attending since BBQ IX (despite their protestations of orthodoxy the Guild, the Bene Gesserit, and the Corrinos cannot live without the Ixian devices which "skirt" the Butlerian Rule) and it has always been 100% family-friendly. I also just purchased from Amazon a box of 100 1.5&...

Hey the Canned Cultured Meat can use the left overs from the mushroom ketchup as flavouring. Call it Colonial American flavor or such. Spread those spent mushroom bits on some sheet pans and leave them in the sun for a couple of hours and you've got some concentrated flavor right there. Grind it up...

My smartphone (LG G4) also gets really warm under load (using the navigation feature with the screen on seems to be particularly taxing, and will kill the battery in fairly short order if the phone isn't plugged in). The Nexus 6P does the same in nav mode, but at least can shed enough heat to stay ...

Yes, but not in the Philippines. All of those products are Caribbean-based, which means they'll also be bringing some spice with them. I don't remember the brand, but I remember the spicier ones as being really good over conch fritters in the British Virgin Islands.

I wonder if cultured meat does takes off if there would be a big enough market for canned horse and buffalo meat? Well, should this iniquity ever come to pass, I sincerely doubt that cans will be the carrier and that vac-pacs will be the preferred sales medium. I know we're headed there at some poi...
