Re: I sure wish I have a 40" 4K display...

This is a 42.5" monitor from LG. Does 4K and freesync
http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-43UD79 ... ed-monitor
It should feel like four full HD 21inch screens when split 4 ways.
Maybe you should consider it OP?

7850 is slicgtly higher clocked than the 7750 so it should give the general idea.

Re: Nvidia GT300 Specs Kill Larrabee Before It's Born

Lets look at the Tflops now Larrabee - 2Tflops (clocked at 2ghz) GT300 - >3Tflops 5870X2 - 4.56Tflops And the loser is the intel's larrabee. Yay, Intel continues to to hold the number one position at sucking at gpu performance! Well, by the time this larrabeeis released it will probably be "jus...

It was the 9700pro at the high end, the 9500pro for the mid range. The 9800pro was a refresh.

thanks for the correction. Though i hope you get the logic.

I have heard that thing with intelligent memory management with Win7 that allows the window manager to utilize your graphics card's ram. That wont be a plus on vista SP2?!

Re: Radeon HD 5870

With 50% more shader units and higher clock frequencies, and perhaps tuned shaders too, it comes as no surprise that the performance will be reflected by that. Radeon HD 5870 will deliver 2160 Gflops, which is close to twice that of HD 4870. http://www.nordichardware.com/news,9154.html Hopefully we...

Re: Radeon HD 5870

People, we are about to witness history repeat itself. ATI kicks some Nvidia butt(with the radeon 9800) then Nvidia makes a come back and finds ATI pants down and kicks its butt(GF 8800 vs HD 2x00 series) squarely sending them flat on the ground. ATI makes a comeback(HD4xx0 series) and possibly will...

Re: Radeon HD 5870

I see no reason why it won't happen with the next generation. the 4770 isn't that far off from your requirements already, I see no reason why the next gen won't surpass your needs offering more, taking up less and costing less as well. it will probably refine its current GPUs like it did with the 9...

it will probably refine its current GPUs like it did with the 9800GTX+ -> GTS250 1GB, then lower its prices and force its fans to wait till Q1 2010.

Re: Any word on the 4670 agp cards?

AGP is a dead/dying interface. If they ever make/have made a 4670 for this slot it will just be one hell of a bottleneck for that card. Then it will be a total waste of money upgrading from anything >x1800 ati card. It would be best to update your other hardware and get a pcieX16_gen2 motherboard in...

Re: Why Windows 7 [RC] is still a pile of bugs and unusability

Most of the complaints i have heard have been on Win & RC 64 bit. Very few about 32bit. Actually almost none. Personally i havent had any issues with it as i have been using the 32bit RC(build 7100) except for driver issues with my creative Audigy 2 ZS sound card.
