That's... a lot of disks. Just a thought, but if you can get adequate performance, you may want to consider two separate six disk arrays. That way an array failure only takes out half your data at a time, and an array rebuild may be less costly to your users. Ideally, you'd probably then want to put...

I helped seed my Dad's first smartphone with contacts using NFC, and I also use to exchange pictures with people on occasion. It's also nice for pairing with stuff like Bluetooth speakers.

In short: It's a feature that I like having, but not one I'm sure that I'd spend money on.

I'll also put in a vote for Keepass. I've found it easy to use to share a password database between my PC and Android phone using Dropbox.
