Well after seeing it recommended in the Shortbread, I decided to pick up a bottle of Blanton's. However, the store I go to has not had any since December, and it's a pretty big store...

So instead I'm enjoying Four Roses Small Batch. Simple, but tasty.

TBH with multiple sensors all installed backwards, I was surprised it didn't face-plant even quicker than it did. The computers probably had "enough" information to know that something was wrong, but not enough to compensate for or dispose of the bad data on the fly (pun not intended). Th...

AC in my car is dead. Took it to Firestone. Cracked condenser and a hose kit needs replaced. $1500 quote, but only 5 hours of labor. Their labor is $80/hr, so that means their parts are $1100. Really, $1000, since they say charging it is $100 and included in the estimate. So I start looking around ...

We have the MCU thread and multiple Star Wars threads. We even a TV Shows thread, but nothing for general film. Deadpool gets a pass on a lot of things. I was VERY happy with Hugh Jackman's sendoff in Logan, and while I never want to see him play Wolverine in another X-Men movie, I would totally support a reprisal for a Deadpool one.

The thing which is really killing traditional TV are the commercials. There's still ads on Twitch and Youtube, but they don't occupy a significant portion of the time you spend watching something. How small are the leagues? You might still try to get in touch. If someone's kid signed up and bailed, there might at least be a spot available, but that very much sounds like a "talk directly to the coach and/or league manager" conversation.
