Re: Any Spam eaters here(Yes the canned meat product)?

IMO it has an undeserved bad reputation. Sure, it's unhealthy (high fat, high salt). But so are a lot of other foods that are far more popular, like fast food burgers, hot dogs, ham, and bacon. Think of Spam as a canned, pork-based, salty meatloaf... maybe that makes it more palatable to you, or ma...

Re: STAR WARS TIME! - Spoiler Lock Lifted

Nostalgia seems be the #1 red herring defense against the critics. My friend and I lost all interest in SW after Ep8, and we not even huge fans of the franchise, and we all born after Ep6. I'll say congrats to Disney for managing to kill the unkillable cow? I'd say it depends on the cow. Mainline S...

It's about an inch shorter along both dimensions than is typical, basically a 15" screen squeezed into a 14" chassis.

Good thing you're off soda, try brewing pots of tea. Bagged tea can be reused a few times. Breakfast with eggs and mushrooms/tomatoes/etc. is a good start. Bring some boiled eggs when you go out, as lunch sidings. Like others said, cooked oats/muesli with nuts, fruits, chocolates, etc. Butter your b...

I ended up buying a Dell Inpiron Gaming 7567. Quick specs : 7700HQ, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB NVME SSD, GTX 1050 Ti 4GB and a 4k screen. So far so good but I've only had it for couple of hours. I will post more once I've used it for a while. I'm been using the 5577 black version with 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, GT...

Re: End of an Era - Toys R Us

As our son grew, we had less and less reason to visit. Way back when, it was the place to get bundles of chewies and crunchies. But Costco, Target, etc became competitive and had grown up stuff as well, so trips to them were easier to agree on. Then everyone went shopping online in the mid-2010s and...

I was going to get one of the smaller models, but wound up buying a super-slim Axing 2Ah during my Osaka trip. Amazon is recalling risky power packs

http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-43402175 Owners of Amazon's own-brand power bank chargers have been contacted by the firm telling them to stop using them. A recall covering six models of the AmazonBasics-branded product was announced in the US and Canada on Tuesday. A notice posted by the US Cons...

Pioneer Rayz Plus fix some of the stupidity of Apple's missing headphone jack. I'd almost have to argue that they further the stupidity. That's the part I don't agree with, though. It just doesn't fit with the existing movies in any way. Big rock, hyperdrive, capital ship. Even *if* you buy that large hyperdrives are expensive, full-on capital ships are more so. Super Star Destroyers even more so. Death Stars even more so...etc. Yup...

I think we're going to have to accept that the Star Wars movies are going to become like the James Bond movies. There will be good ones, there will be bad ones. So, there is nothing definite that points to their role in the next film? I can see them away on recruiting missions, yes.

My original theory is that they were agitating to make Luke dictator, which may explain why Luke did not seek them out after he had recovered from his tragic fight with Kylo.

If only their stores would sell the original parts, for convenience. I'm more concerned about long-running UI bugs. It's the era of niggling little iOS issues, they seem to be tolerating more sloppiness than was the norm with Jobs around.
