Unless you are space constrained, I would recommend the NAS Killer v2.0 from serverbuilds.net . It's amazing how much performance you can get on industrial-grade components a few years old for so little money. You'll be able to do everything you want (and more) and keep control of all your data. IMO...

Mmm, Dell rep just called and said both the R730 and T630 only support 4.2" PCIe card form factor. Dang it.

Forgot one: Mixing RAM reads/writes isn't an issue. We'll record one way into RAM for each test event (all writes), then "trickle" out to SSDs in the server after the test event. So we should have excellent bandwidth utilization on the RAM. The bottleneck should be the PCIe3x8 link.

Infiniband is the only affordable option if splitting up between multiple hosts. 100 Gbps EDR is cheaper than 10/40 Gbps Ethernet much of the time! Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card,
which is on that list, and is my favorite sci-fi book.

Nothing is as good as Ender's Game, but up through Shadow of the Hegemon are decent reads.

Don't clean any actual electronics with a vacuum, unless it's an ESD-sensitive vacuum. Just use compressed air. You can use a vacuum on your case, fans, and heatsink with pretty much no risk.
