It's the same with cereals. I think it's more air in the food giving you less product while the companies make the same if not more money. The jet puffed stuff seems to be lighter and less dense than it used to along with cookies, crackers, and the like. Just my guess.

When I press more than 2 or 3 keys simultaneously I get a beep too with my PS/2 cheapo keyboard and I think it freezes to the last direction I was moving as well, not sure though. I work around it so I haven't found or needed a fix (read "new keyboard").

Windows 7 has tools built-in for doing just those things. They're limited but pretty functional for being bundled.

I wouldn't be surprised if data on the drive is lost already. As soon as you can, copy your most important data off of the bad drive to another location until you have a replacement backup drive. The BIOS measures the temp at the socket while the cooler one is measured at the sensor on the CPU. Same happens for me and all my AMD CPUs, ~10 degree C difference.

Newegg site redesign.

Anyone been to Newegg recently? I am not liking it at all, specifically the memory listings. The advertised prices include rebates now and do not give you the price you pay to newegg itself (across the whole site).

Nope. I used a Windsor X2 4200+ inside a case with only one fan, plus stock cooling, in Texas during summer, and never saw any fluctuation in temperature ever the course of three years. The common link seems to be you.
